  • Safety First! Tools for Safe Learning in First Grade

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the resources you helped donate towards my classroom. Knowing that we face many challenges with safely returning to school, this will help decrease the obstacle of sharing communal materials by having individual chair pockets. I cannot wait to put these materials to use and in the hands of students soon.

Unfortunately with COVID-19, we are unsure when that return date will come. Normally I love sending photos so you can see your contributions in action, however those will have to wait for now. Thank you for supporting our schools, our students, my classroom, and more specifically my students to come for many many years.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Foteff

  • Differentiated Learning For All!

    Funded Oct 6, 2015

Words cannot express my appreciation for the generous ways that you have impacted my classroom, and more specifically, my students with very individual learning needs.

The materials that we received to help assist students have already had such a profound impact on their learning. Many students in my classroom have greatly benefited from the fidgets and wiggle seats, allowing them to focus and stay seated on the carpet during group learning. The stand up desk has been such a powerful tool, allowing students to stand and move their feet while working. This type of desk has really increased student success in my classroom for students who have a really hard time with traditional ways of learning.

The iPad has been a tool that has extended, differentiated and adjusted to what specific students have needed. With the limited resources that we have at our disposal with today's budget concerns, I feel like this project has allowed me to really meet the needs of all my learners.

Thank you so much for helping my students reach success.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Foteff

  • Books! Books! Books!

    Funded Apr 18, 2015

Words cannot express my appreciation for the generous donations you have made to our classroom. I wish I could capture the excitement that students had when they had the opportunity to open a new box of books and listening center equipment. With your donations, my students have already started using these resources to support their learning in reading, writing, listening and speaking. They are truly becoming lovers of literacy and as a teacher there is no better gift than to see a child learning to love reading. Thank you for your donations. They truly have an impact on the lives of current and future students.”

  • 1st Graders Today, Future Leaders Tomorrow! We Need an iPad!

    Funded Oct 10, 2014

I cannot extend enough appreciation for the valuable gift you have given both myself and my students. With this gift my students are able to independently practice skills at their individual level. These iPads allow me to differentiate for my students based on their needs as learners. They are able to review, extend, and guide their learning in many different subject areas while also having fun and exploring technology.

Upon arrival of our iPad, my students were beyond excited. We used the iPad right away and now it is already a part of our daily routine. Thank you for allowing my students to have equal access to the technology that they deserve.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Foteff

  • In Need Of Technology: iPads For The Future

    Funded Oct 22, 2013

I want to sincerely thank you for helping donate such valuable resources to our classroom. With these iPads my students are now able to receive extra guided practice and support without the help of an adult on various subjects all at their own pace. My students are beyond excited to practice and review skills that we have learned in math, reading, writing, and science while both learning and having fun using a hands on tool.

These iPads and keyboards have allowed our children to gain valuable practice with typing skills. With the upcoming new state testing, my students will be better prepared to face these difficult tasks, now having had the experience with this type of technology. My students and I thank you for the impact that you made both in our classroom specifically and for students for years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Foteff

  • Exploring, Learning, and Creating with an iPad!

    Funded Apr 24, 2013

I want to express my deepest appreciation for the iPad and cover that you generously helped donate to our classroom. This iPad allows students at all learning levels more time to practice, review and explore concepts in all subject areas. It puts a piece of technology into the hands of students who may not have access at home. With the new Common Core State Standards and the heightened level of rigor for our youngest learners, we need access to resources that just aren't available to us because of budget cuts. Thank you for being supportive of our students and investing in their education. I appreciate you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Foteff

  • Our Class Loves to Read!

    Funded Nov 2, 2012

My students and I want to sincerely thank you for the amazing book boxes that you have generously provided us with. We have already packed them with books and are using them each and every day. Not only do they create a more organized room, each child is now able to have books at their just right level which immensely benefits their learning.

Without the donations from individuals and corporations such as yourselves, our public school systems would not be able to provide students with materials that they need and that they so desperately deserve. Thanks for all that you do to help our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Foteff

  • Young Learners, Open Minds, New Technology...

    Funded Sep 8, 2012

I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation for helping my students receive an iPad for our classroom. Having moved schools due to budget shortfalls, this will be the first and only computer for our classroom. Because of your help, many of my students are using this computer for the very first time in their lives.

This iPad has allowed them to practice skills we are learning in class, challenge students who need the extra challenge, and help our most struggling students. Thank you for investing in our children. Help from donors like you give our students the resources they need. Thank you for making a difference.”

    With gratitude,

  • For the Love of Literacy and Learning!

    Funded Mar 26, 2012

What an honor it is to work in a profession where I am able to receive internal gratification on a daily basis. Teaching is a career path that makes a difference in the lives of students each and every day. As a teacher, I see the importance communities play in helping support our students, our staff and our funding. No longer are we able to solely rely on state and federal help to support our students. It is up to us. Thankfully, we have donors who realize the need to help support our students.

Today's classrooms our facing much different challenges due to budget cuts, state testing, federal mandates, among many other factors. With the help and support I received, my students are now able to enjoy a listening center where they can read books while listening to voice, punctuation, word choice, fluency and expression. Students at all levels can use this as a resource to help assist in their literacy needs. Thank you for the time it took to help our youngest learners. They truly appreciate it. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Foteff

  • Classroom Collaboration and Social Development!

    Funded Dec 9, 2011

I have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to utilize the tables that have been funded for myself and my growing class of twenty-nine. We are so thankful for the activities, skills, collaboration and learning opportunities that it has allowed us to experience.

Our school and district is currently facing a serious budget shortfall for the 2012-2013 school year. We are looking ahead to class sizes in the 40's for 6 and 7 year old students. Having these tables allows us to maximize learning amongst students, maximize collaboration, and simply allows us to maximize the space. Prior to receiving tables, having twenty-eight desks did not even allow me to walk around and work with individual children. Something which hugely effects their academic success. By having tables in our classroom, our students have the opportunity to be more successful and strive in an environment where collaboration and socialization are valued and explored.

Without donors like you, many classrooms and students would go without. You alone are changing their future. Thank you for all that you do. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Foteff

When I think of the ever-changing needs of six, seven, and eight year olds, many different things come to mind! First and second graders are at such a crucial age both developmentally and academically. This is why I love the challenge and opportunity that I have to make such a difference in their lives right now. If I had to ask my students to walk away with only one thing this year, it would be to instill a love of literacy, imagination, and the passion to learn. Teaching is my passion and I will do everything in my power to help each student succeed.
