The resources I've requested will be used almost immediately. The Cricut Explorer Air and assorted pens will help with classroom decor as well as with the multiple reading projects I have planned for the year. Students enjoy the opportunity to utilize customized material and papercrafts for their assignments. The games I've requested will be a welcoming adventure in my classroom. I chose games that focus on specific skills that my students struggle with. ELL students have to work towards increasing their vocabulary so the “Multiple Meanings around the World” game will help to build their vocabulary. Another area that significantly impacts their comprehension is the ability to identify information within a text and I feel the “Outlast: Reading for Information” will help reinforce that skill as well. The “Hazard Mountain: Inference” and “Quest for Jewels: Cause and Effect” games will be also used to help students with further understanding of those specific skills. My students enjoy activities that will allow them to be competitive. They appreciate the opportunity to work together and be independent with very little input on me. These games will help with building up their skills in areas they struggle with while allowing them to have fun.
