The urban school I work at is the largest in Connecticut and is very diverse. Many of my students speak English as their second language (if they speak it at all) which leads to huge cultural diversity that they love to incorporate into their assignments! They frequently play music and dance in the cafeteria as a way to express themselves! With all of this diversity these students know what it's like to struggle, and support each other in ways I've never seen before. Everyone is welcome and accepted at our school, no matter who they are!
