My students are great in math when they have fun, colorful things to help them stay engaged! The colored counters will be great tools for then when doing work with 10 frames and 5 frames. My students also love getting to use dice as counting tools. With Double Dice I can differentiate instruction with my students that are ready for simple addition and have basic dice number recognition skills already. All my students love when math is like a game. For students that are still struggling with number recognition and one to one correspondence, I think that the number locks will provide them with an engaging individual activity that will cause them to learn as they play, giving them the extra practice they need! With our new adopted math curriculum, sorting is a huge focus! They want our students to use sorting boards but do not provide these tools. I want my students to have something more concrete than a piece of paper with lines drawn on it in order to learn and understand what sorting is. I'm hoping with these tools, my students with ask again and again "More Math Please!"
