Jumpstart First Graders Curiosity With Robotics

Donors like you help make learning experiences like this one possible to children who could not, otherwise, afford these life-enhancing activities. My students loved learning about arachnids and insects and their habitats. There was so much discussion about it during the trip and after the trip. After the trip they went to work and designed a habitat for one of the animals they had learned about. It made learning fun and engaging for all of them.

Funded Feb 9, 2017You made our day! You have made a real difference in the education of my first graders. Your generous donation to our project helped us get the laptop my students need and deserve. Thanks to you my students will be well prepared with 21st century skills.
The laptop that was generously donated to my classroom is being used by 20 first graders to accelerate and enrich many different skills. This technology is incredibly motivational and is allowing my students to learn a whole new way. My students have been able to view animations of the solar system, look at 3-D models of the human body, and practice math, and financial literacy skills in a fun and interactive way.
My students absolutely love using the laptop and cannot way for their turn everyday to explore and learn with this incredible device.

Multicultural Arts and Crafts Supplies
Funded Mar 8, 2014On behalf of my first grade students, I would like to thank you for your contribution. Your financial support helped me continue in my mission and to give my students the best education possible. When we open the box my students were ecstatic. They could not believe that we had a sharpener for our classroom. They would no longer have to wait until recess or after school to go sharpen pencils to the sharpener located in the main office.
The multicultural colors was the highlight of the month. My students could not believe they had colors to represent everyone in their family. Funded May 7, 2013Thank you so much for your extraordinary generosity. The new ipad my students received thanks to you will make learning more accessible for them. This ipad has given my students an abundance of educational apps that are helping them grasp new concepts in math, reading, vocabulary,and spelling. This has given them an infinite amount of opportunities to learn in a more interactive and engaging way.
While the new ipad will certainly be a highlight for the year, the real impact of this donation is in the long-term, far-reaching benefit of knowing someone believes in what they are doing. You guys have truly given my students a gift that will last for years. It doesn't matter if they come from a low income school - there are good people in the world that recognize and reward hard work and determination.
