Treasure Chromebooks
Funded May 28, 2021The technology has helped students use it in many things like Myon, Imagine Learning, creating PowerPoints, graphs of many different types line, bar, circle, and pictorial.
Students love how quickly it works and transitions from program to program with ease.
Our ELL love using it because they use google translate to translate the text into their native language so their comprehension can increase.
Also, during testing our students with accommodations can use it like read the text or define words with ease.
Thank you for your generous donations to our students.”

Funded Dec 23, 2020The technology is helping my students to research, snap pictures of assignments and submit in to the hub, doing lessons on imagine learning and imagine math, and reading using the program Myon.
The nice thing about having these extra devices in the classroom when emergencies arise like they forgot their device or their device is acting up at least they have a back up in the classroom.
All my students are enjoying the new devices because they're fast and modern. It's refreshing to have updated technology so they can compete with their peers from other schools and other districts. Thank you for leveling out the playing field for our students. Your generous hearts will continue to give for many years to come.”

Amazing Remote Technology Tools
Funded Oct 21, 2020The technology has been a wonderful addition to our remote learning and our face-to-face students. We have been able to use the projector during our Teams, Kahoots, Quizizz, and Myon.
Now our students can hear me cleary during our class Peardeck and Teams call.
They love the clarity and no interruptions because there is no faulty technology.
I think the students that have benefit the most are our special population like our Speech, and our ELL students because they can hear the articulation and pronunciation of words during Word Work so now our instructions is seamless.”

Funded Oct 15, 2020The Just Mercy book is a hit in my classroom. My scholars are so indulged in the book that they try to sneak chapters in to tell other students what is happening. I love seeing them read, learning different skills like main idea, compare and contrast, creating summaries, actively engaged while monitoring their comprehension. Currently we are social distancing so through the use of Teams they are having discussions about the pages that they have read. My face-to-face students are having discussions about inferences that they're making as they read but their discussions are 6 feet apart and it's working. Overall the students are enjoying the book and cannot wait to finish it. Again, thank you for your generous donation.”

Funded Oct 8, 2020The civic books have been great edition in our classroom library because we are using them to inquire about today's election. We are using them to learn about the electoral process, popular vote, each state's presidential election, governor's race, senator and House of Representatives. During reading we break up into a jigsaws therefore each student is responsible for a section then they present in front of their group. Finally, finish up the jigsaw with presentations in front of the whole classroom.
My new comers especially like the process because they have never witnessed anything like this before so they are like little absorbable sponges just absorbing everything they can. Again thank you so much for your generous contribution to our learning environment.”

Funded Jun 26, 2020As we return back to face-to-face instruction we are using all the materials that have been supplied like the Clorox wipes were able to wipe down the tables and student chairs. The Lysol spray's were able to spray the high contact areas like door knobs . We were able to supply highlighters and pens in their own little Ziploc bags with school supplies that they need in class.
After being in school face-to-face for about a week I believe the kids feel safe that everything has been sanitized, cleaned ,and germ-free.
We will continue maintaining a safe environment by sanitizing and cleaning so effective learning can continue to proceed.”

Funded May 29, 2020The technology is helping my learning environment have an amazing experience. Wacom graphic tablet is making it an interactive classroom that helps explain concepts in all content areas.
My students enjoy when I am able to simultaneously write and give instruction therefore students are able to ask questions when confused or there is misunderstanding.
My ELL and Sped students are students that are fond of the technology. They are able to understand when I am underlining important information in text. Also, I am able to take notes as I am reading showing our scholars what great readers do. Thank you for your generosity.”

Funded Jun 26, 2020iOCHOW document camera has been a lifesaver because I been able to teach during our remote learning from school and home. The technology is so crisp and clear when I am writing in my interactive journal my scholars can see it clear. I can take it to school and work from home.
The awesome thing I can do is that I can scan our work and send it to students who were not available in class or students that need additional help like our special needs students.
All my students love when I scan our Team notes because it reminds them of college notes.
They are so grateful for your generosity to our classroom.”

Funded Dec 22, 2019The scholars are using the Jenga and Uno cards as a motivation piece in their academics. So basically they get a passage with questions and they answer the questions with their evidence. If the scholar gets the correct answer then they get to play one round of Jenga or Uno. It is 100% engagement guaranteed.
My scholars' reactions to the new resources were excitement they could not wait to use the materials and they were looking forward to our first use.
Currently, right now we are in the process of preparing for our state test which is the STAAR so at this point of the year we are spiraling reviewing.
We want to continue captivating our students with 100% engagement and make learning fun at the same time preparing for their test that will happen in April but I'm excited about their progress that they've made so far this school year, the growth, achievements, and how we are going to end at the end of the year. Again thank you to the donors that contributed to our project.”

A Camera: Interview Documentation
Funded Jul 27, 2018My scholars love the cameras! They are so excited about reading nonfiction, interviews, documentaries, autobiographies, and biographies. They love the hands on component because they are recording and taking pictures just like journalist. Some of our scholars are now considering journalism as a career path. For many of our students this is the first time handling a real camera. The opportunity to use and apply what they learn will stay with them for a lifetime. My G.T. scholars are the ones that have been touch the most. They have read the manuals to discover new features and how to better handle the cameras. Also, I have seen them take responsibility in taking care of the new technology. There is ton of collaboration among the students on technique or how to capture a unique shot. This is amazing! Thank you so much for your generous hearts.”
