  • iPads for Math Labs!

    Funded May 10, 2023

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I would like to take this opportunity to let you all know how happy and thankful I am for all the support received and getting my project funded!

You are the best and my students are forever grateful for your donations.

Providing access to the latest technology in my classroom engages my students in their learning and provides the skills they need to be successful in mathematics. iPads were a hit, and everyone is excited to used them. With your support you have made my classroom a safe and up to date place of learning.”

  • Ready for Success!

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you so much for all the cool supplies, my students now have all the necessary items to be successful in my class. We loved the compasses, these tools make drawing circles so much easier and neat. The folders will make our organization so effective and functional. Our copies and worksheets have a home now. The pencil cases will hold the tools needed for team work.

You have no idea how much your generosity means to me and my students, having the supplies needed for class makes my job so much easier.”

  • I Am a Math Star!

    Funded Jun 9, 2022

Providing access to the latest technology like these two iPads is making a huge positive impact on my students lives. We recently acquired a new textbook with a software that demands practice on the daily basis. Unfortunately, more than half of my students do not have updated technology that supports this new software. But now we have options to deal with this issue because my students can check out the iPads after and before school to catch up with their online practice.

My students love their new technology in the classroom.”

  • iStudy Math

    Funded May 3, 2022

Your donations have made a huge impact in my classroom. My students loved the iPads and felt empowered and motivated to learn math using the latest technology.

I want you to know that closing the gap both academically and financially is the focus of my career as an educator. 100% of my students are considered economically disadvantaged and are not used to enjoying the latest electronic devices available. Having these two iPads will help me provide accommodations needed to fill in my students' academic gaps. I really appreciate your support and please know that you just made my job a bit easier.”

  • No Supplies, No Problem!

    Funded Nov 5, 2018

First of all, thank you for supporting our project No Supplies, No problem! Your donations have provided the necessary supplies for my students to complete projects and work samples. Having access to basic supplies such as color markers, glue, poster boards and scissors make a huge difference in my students lives.

We got really excited opening our color markers, glue, posters and scissors and I personally got extremely happy when I saw the posters, and my math clock. I work hard to make my classroom a safe and caring place for my kids and your help with this awesome décor will make it happen.

I've shared some pictures of my students using the supplies and some of their work to show how important these supplies are for us.

I am forever grateful for all the help and support, and I can assure you that the supplies will be taken care of and will be used properly.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mancillas

  • Technology Accessible for All!

    Funded Nov 14, 2017

This note is to say "Muchas Gracias!" (Thank you very much) for donating computers to our classroom. My students and I are very grateful for the support Sprint of New York has given us. The donated technology is allowing my students to have access to an online math program that provides individualized tutorials.

As you can imagine in a classroom of 30 students is very difficult to serve all students' needs at once. By having access to technology and online support all my students can get help on what they need when they need it.

I use technology in the classroom to differentiate instruction and empower my students to take charge of their learning.

My students are loving the computers and are really excited to know that they have access to them anytime.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mancillas

Access to technology is a luxury that not every student in my class can afford. The community I have the opportunity to work with faces many challenges on a daily basis, especially after Hurricane Harvey. A storm that caused many of my students to lose everything. Even though the storm took the few things they owned, it did not take their perseverance and excitement to learn and come to school every day. In many of my students’ households owning a computer and having internet access is not a priority, food is. That is the reason why I am trying to have at least three nice fully equipped computers for them to use and complete their assignments. I want to teach my students that not owning a computer should not be a limitation to be successful. Technology accessible for all students in my class is a need not a want, my students form part of the millennial generation and need to be exposed to the most up to date technology available. This will expand their knowledge of technology, motivate, and enable them to take ownership of their learning.
