  • Scientific Calculators for Rising Mathematicians

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My Algebra students needed scientific calculators, and this set of calculators will allow students to carry out computations and facilitate conceptual understanding. Your donations came in right in time for the holidays and this means that my students will start the second semester with the tools they need to excel in mathematics.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mancilla

  • Classroom Supplies

    Funded Mar 21, 2023

Thank you for your kind donation. The materials arrived just on time!!! My students really enjoy working with foldables in order to review learned concepts in class. The booklet staplers that you donated will be used for years to come.

My students also enjoy color coding their notes and the color pens will be used at work stations during class. Lastly the hole puncher will also be used for years to come and will provide students with the ability to keep organized interactive binders. My students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

  • External Hard Drive

    Funded Aug 27, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation. With a flipped classroom I record several of my lectures and with this new external drive, I am able to save my prerecorded videos. My students appreciate these videos because they have the opportunity to review concepts and learn at their own pace. Students that are absent especially enjoy these videos because they are able to access these videos from home.

Having an external drive also allows me to move from one device to another easily. Students are also able to make use of the external drive to share their own resources with their peers. Again thank you on behalf of myself and my students.”

  • Content Rich Math Posters and Visuals

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

The delivery of these posters came with perfect timing. These posters provide a model for important vocabulary words that we are covering in the various units of instruction. The images and mnemonics that are included in the posters provide reference support for students as they are developing their skills and understanding of abstract concepts.

I love it when I see students directing a glance to our word wall and making connections that lead to better understanding and ultimately learning with mastery.”

  • 3D Solids: Art Project for Calculus Students

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

The materials for this project came at a perfect time. Not only did my students and I receive the appropriate materials for our upcoming three-dimensional volume project in Calculus, but we also received materials for my Pre-Calculus Students to create vibrant unit circles. My MESA students have also benefitted from your donations as they engage in weekly STEM challenges using different colored card stock to create models and test prototypes.

Students love to work with hands-on activities and deeper learning and understanding are always achieved when students can engage with and manipulate physical models. Once again thank you for your generosity.”

  • iPad Pro for National Honor Society Tutors IV

    Funded Jul 31, 2021

Thank You so much for your generous donations. Even though our students are back in the classroom many of our afterschool activities and meetings continue to be hosted virtually. Having these iPads in the hands of my student leaders will definitely create an impact on our school community.

The most exciting part about having this technology is the fact that our tutors will be able to connect remotely and be able to explain step by step and show the process for students being tutored to better understand concepts. Students being tutored in math will be able to see their tutor and simultaneously see the solution process as it takes form creating a better connection.

Students continue to host their monthly meetings virtually and this iPad couldn't have come at a better time.”

I teach 9th through 12th graders who are learning topics ranging from Algebra 1 through Calculus and Statistics. Our school is a school of choice whose student body qualifies for a free lunch program and serves several surrounding communities. The communities where my students come from are considered to be low income communities whose average household income is well below the state median income. Despite this adversity my students are resilient and eager to learn. They value education and view effort as a means towards success.
