• Scientific Calculators for Rising Mathematicians

  Thank you for your generous donation! Your support has made a tremendous impact on my Algebra 1 students by providing them with a classroom set of scientific calculators. Many of my students struggle with basic computational skills, which can often become a barrier to understanding higher-level mathematical concepts. With these calculators, they can move past arithmetic struggles and focus on developing a deeper understanding of algebraic reasoning and problem-solving.

  Students are already learning how to use these tools effectively, allowing them to show step-by-step solutions to equations and explore mathematical relationships with greater confidence. Your generosity has not only provided a necessary resource but has also empowered my students to engage more fully in their learning. Seeing their excitement and newfound confidence has been truly rewarding, and it wouldn't be possible without your kindness and support.

• Classroom Supplies

  Thank you for your kind donation. The materials arrived just on time!!! My students really enjoy working with foldables in order to review learned concepts in class. The booklet staplers that you donated will be used for years to come.

  My students also enjoy color coding their notes and the color pens will be used at work stations during class. Lastly the hole puncher will also be used for years to come and will provide students with the ability to keep organized interactive binders. My students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

• External Hard Drive

  Thank you for your generous donation. With a flipped classroom I record several of my lectures and with this new external drive, I am able to save my prerecorded videos. My students appreciate these videos because they have the opportunity to review concepts and learn at their own pace. Students that are absent especially enjoy these videos because they are able to access these videos from home.

  Having an external drive also allows me to move from one device to another easily. Students are also able to make use of the external drive to share their own resources with their peers. Again thank you on behalf of myself and my students.”

• Content Rich Math Posters and Visuals

  The delivery of these posters came with perfect timing. These posters provide a model for important vocabulary words that we are covering in the various units of instruction. The images and mnemonics that are included in the posters provide reference support for students as they are developing their skills and understanding of abstract concepts.

  I love it when I see students directing a glance to our word wall and making connections that lead to better understanding and ultimately learning with mastery.”

• 3D Solids: Art Project for Calculus Students

  Funded Jul 20, 2021

  The materials for this project came at a perfect time. Not only did my students and I receive the appropriate materials for our upcoming three-dimensional volume project in Calculus, but we also received materials for my Pre-Calculus Students to create vibrant unit circles. My MESA students have also benefitted from your donations as they engage in weekly STEM challenges using different colored card stock to create models and test prototypes.

  Students love to work with hands-on activities and deeper learning and understanding are always achieved when students can engage with and manipulate physical models. Once again thank you for your generosity.”
