I am a entering my second year teaching in a low-income school. As a reading teacher in a low income school for the past year, I have collaborated with many coworkers in many K-2 classrooms. For the next school year, it is my goal to give these low-income students access to multiple sources of learning the curriculum, flexible seating for students who have difficulty learning in the traditional seat/desk, and access to leveled readers that my students will feel confident reading. Along with that, I have asked for a few more things that we will need to make our day both function well and in a fun way such as community helper puppets, paper charts, a pencil sharpener, and PlayDoh to create words! I would love to receive my items by August, so that I can best prepare for my students.
