Technology Opening Doors to Success For Kinder!!!
Funded Mar 9, 2016Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for funding our project. My students will benefit greatly from your generous donations. Technology is opening doors for my students. It is a great resource because it exposes students to a wealth of information. It is helping my students to learn in new, innovative ways. Technology allows my students to be creative while keeping up with modern advances. It opens their minds to new ways of learning. Students can build communication skills, teamwork, critical thinking skills and problem solving skills.
My students are excited to have technology in their classroom. They enjoy using educational apps to further their learning. They enjoy learning with technology. They appreciate learning at their own pace. My students are delighted to be in control of their learning. They also control the pace at which that learning takes place. This makes them feel empowered. Technology keeps them excited about learning. They are engaged and eager to learn new things and review the skills they've mastered.
Many students are motivated by technology. Students who have passed grade-level benchmarks enjoy using technology to move on to master other goals. They are excited to guide their own learning by moving on to more challenging tasks and skills. Students who are challenged by grade-level benchmarks and skills are also motivated by technology because they can work at their own pace without feeling pressured to move on before they are ready. They also get a chance to review skills until they achieve mastery or feel comfortable with moving on.
Ultimately, technology is a useful resource in the classroom. It allows students to access learning at their fingertips. Learning becomes more student-centered with students setting the pace for their acquisition of knowledge. Thank you for helping my students use technology as a resource for learning and academic development.”

They were excited and engaged in the lessons. My students used the scientific method to learn more about science. They kept saying, "This is amazing I love science." This amazing to hear from second graders. You have provided my students the opportunity to discovery science centers to become exposed through hands on activities to learn to solve problems for science. My students have tried to make connections to the science lessons I teach in class, but the majority struggle to. Funded Dec 31, 2015I am grateful for your amazing support. You can not even imagine the support you have provided my students. My students have improved a lot in math. Because of your donations they have the opportunity to learn in a fun way. You have provided my students with crayons, markers, a flash card library, write and wipe pockets, game buzzers, practice cards, post it notes, and other math fundamentals to become more engaged. My students are very energetic and enthusiastic learners. I believe my enthusiastic learners need hand-on activities in order to become engaged and focused on the lessons. You have provided my students with the tools they need to improve in math. Math is known to be the subject that is not engaging for students. I want to prevent that and allow my students to become motivated. Hands on activities such as; whiteboards, plastic boards, erasable markers, math card, and crayons will motivate my students in math. Thank You once again from my class and I. You have provided my students with tools they need to improve in math.”

An Apple for the Students
Funded Sep 10, 2013My students were so happy when they received the iPad. They look forward to using it every day. They are excited about the apps and all the handy learning opportunities they experience because of the iPad. They really enjoy having their own iPad in the classroom. My students use the iPad as a learning tool. The apps keep them engaged and excited about learning. They like the interactive nature of the iPad because the apps give them immediate feedback. I've seen my students increase their reading and math scores since they have been interacting with the iPad. They also learn a lot about the world they live in by using the Internet feature. My ELL student uses the iPad to help him acquire language by listening to speech, learning new words, and even playing games. I use the iPad mini to assess my students both formally and informally. It makes the assessment process easier, faster, accurate, and more effective. It is also a very good resource I use for conferencing, small group instruction, individual student intervention, and record keeping. We also use the iPad's camera and video to document learning, assemblies, projects, and extracurricular activities.
Thank you very much for your generous gift. The effects of your donation will last for years to come. It will definitely be an unforgettable and widely-used resource in my classroom. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of my students.”

Funded Apr 20, 2012I am very excited that you were able to fund this project. I am equally excited that you understand the value of an arts education program in schools. Children need opportunities to express their artistic abilities and this project is just one way that they can do just that.
Your thoughtful donation will help a group of New York City public school students engage in dramatic activities through the use of puppets. These activities will allow them to use their skills and imaginations to express their creativity.
I look forward to introducing the materials to my students and further engaging them in the arts curriculum. Thank you again for your support.”
