  • Learning to Count Money

    Funded Dec 25, 2020

Thank you so very much for the purchase of the cash registers. My students have been learning virtually for the entire school year. It is truly a challenge to find fun and engaging ways to teach pre-k students through a computer screen on a daily basis. I thought it would be a great engaging learning experience for my students to each have a cash register to practice counting and counting money. To my surprise, my project was funded!

My students come to the front door of our school to pick up their work packets for the week. They were told that they had a present that was going to help them with counting r and they couldn't wait to come to school to get their cash registers. They were so excited and very appreciative. Their message to you is "thank you."

My students love their cash registers and they love to practice counting money on a daily basis. Again, thank you so very much!”

Thank you so very much for the purchase of the rhyming words game. My students have never been in the classroom. They have been learning virtually for the entire school year. It is truly a challenge to find fun and engaging ways to teach pre-k students through a computer screen on a daily basis. I found this rhyming words game and could only dream of how awesome it would be for my students to each have a game. To my surprise, my project was funded!

They were told that they had a present that was going to help them with learning rhyming words and they couldn't wait to come to school to get their game. They were so excited and very appreciative. Their message to you is "thank you."

My students love their game, they love to practice their rhyming words daily and they ask when can they work on rhyming words. Also, at this point, the majority of my class have dramatically improved on rhyming words. Again, thank you so very much!”

  • For Arts Sake

    Funded Mar 11, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity! My students and I are truly grateful and appreciative. We are currently in the process of transitioning form teaching and learning 100% virtual to teaching and learning hybrid. As a result, our needs have doubled, students not only need supplies for remote learning but they also need supplies when they are in school. Because of COVID, students need their own individual supplies while in the classroom.

My students love drawing, painting, and being creative. Because of your donation, my students have been able to be creative whether they are in the classroom or at home. They love all of their new supplies and can't wait to use everything. My students are sending you a big thank you and air hugs. Again, thank you so much!”

  • Jumping Into Fitness

    Funded Dec 12, 2020

Thank you so very much for your donation. As my students have been learning 100% virtual, one of the important things that they have been lacking is physical fitness. If my students were in school, they would have recess on a daily basis and they would get some type of exercise. For many reasons, most of my students spend more time than they should in the house on digital devices.

Your donation helped to provide pogo jumpers for my students. They are four and five years old so they have a lot of energy. When they saw the jumpers, they were so excited and couldn't wait to start using them. We have been providing our students with fifteen minutes of exercise in between lessons. My students have been using their jumpers during the entire exercise period. They use the jumpers for jumping and then use them for leg and arm stretches. Again, thank you so very much for your donation. My little students and I are so very appreciative and grateful.”

  • Learning, Letters, and Literacy

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so very much for your donation which helped me to purchase a large letter (the first letter in each student's first name) for each student to decorate. As my students are learning the alphabet, what is the most important letter to each student? It would be the first letter in their name. Your donation also helped to purchase books for each child as we are learning about diversity and different holidays. We have several virtual celebrations planned.

My students have never been in the classroom. They have been learning virtually for the entire school year. It is truly a challenge to find fun and engaging ways to teach pre-k students through a computer screen on a daily basis. It is also very expensive to try and provide each child with materials for fun and interesting lessons. To my surprise, my project was funded!

My students come to the front door of our school to pick up their work packets for the week. They were told that they had gifts of materials for special projects and they couldn't wait to come to school to get them. They were so excited and very appreciative. Their message to you is "thank you." My students can't wait to begin their new projects, which will start next week. Again, thank you so much!”

Thank you so very much for the purchase of the magna-tiles. My students have never been in the classroom. They have been learning virtually for the entire school year. It is truly a challenge to find fun and engaging ways to teach pre-k students through a computer screen on a daily basis. I found these magna-tiles and could only dream of how awesome it would be for my students to each have a set. To my surprise, my project was funded!

They couldn't wait to come to school to get their magna-tiles. They were so excited and very appreciative. Their message to you is "thank you."

My students love their magna-tiles. We use them to identify shapes, put shapes together, and they love to build with them. They have become very creative with adding lights and other items as they are building. My students are given a break in between lessons and I've noticed that many of them will use their break for an extended amount time to work with their magna-tiles. Again, thank you so very much for helping me to add some fun and excitement to our learning!”

Hi and welcome to my classroom. I have 18 energetic, enthusiastic, and loving students who come to school excited about learning everyday. I feel very fortunate to have each one of these little ones in my class this year. They are truly an awesome bunch. They greet each other with a hug in the morning and end the day the same way. These little ones love learning about other cultures and are very adventurous about trying new foods. King cake, alligator meat, pork skins, cotton candy grapes, moon grapes, calamari, blood oranges, and red peppers are just a few things that my students have tried for the first time. I love the excitement that my students show when they are being introduced to something new. Learning is fun and we celebrate learning daily. Please help to support my little learners and make a donation to our classroom.
