Healthy Snacks for Scholars
Funded Nov 16, 2017From the second our deliveries started rolling in from UPS, USPS, and FEDEX, our healthy snacks were put to good use. My students were so excited to unpack and put them all away. When we were all done, we distributed snacks around the room, to all of the students. My heart fills with joy when I see my students this happy! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your generosity, for your kindness, and for your donation. I am humbled to know that you care about my students. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!”

Super Snacks for Super Scholars
Funded Sep 25, 2017Who doesn't love snacks? When the boxes of snacks came rolling into the classroom, my students cheered. They were so excited to open up the boxes, because they know that whenever they need a little pick me up, all they have to do is knock on my classroom door. They now have a variety of items to choose from. These healthy snacks help my students remain focused on their studies, which helps them succeed academically and personally. Thank you for your kindness and generosity toward my students.”

Snacks for Scholars
Funded Apr 20, 2017My heart is filled with gratitude for the kindness ans generosity you have shown my students. A child who is hungry is incapable of focusing on academics. On a daily basis, without fail, my students whisper in my ear "Miss, do you have any snacks?" Now, my answer is always "Yes, we have plenty." Your donation will not only help keep my students nourished, but it will also help my students remain focused on their studies, whether it is in the middle of the day, during class, or during enrichment activities, at the end of the day. From the bottom of our hearts my students and I thank you!”

Funded Jan 28, 2017Our ELMO Document Camera is outstanding! We have already put it to good use. We used it to model good writing, and to clarify some common errors my students were making in the drafts of their research projects. Interestingly enough, one of my students even wrote about the importance of infusing technology into modern educational models. That was one of the student essays which were used in our lesson. My students live the ELMO, and so do I! Thank you, once again, for your kindness and generosity.”

Let's Take a Virtual Trip!
Funded Jan 31, 2017Without question, this is the coolest project, ever! Soon enough we will use the kits in our regular lessons, to make them amazing! As soon as the delivery of our new virtual reality kits / Google Expeditions Kits were delivered, we knew it was going to be an amazing experience. The kits were delivered to our classroom a few days ago, and we have been excited to begin, ever since! Mrs. Lymberopoulos is so excited, too! Our plan is to begin by taking a tour of Medieval England, since we just finished reading "The Wife of Bath's Tale". Thank you for your kindness and generosity!”

Healthy Food is Essential for Healthy Bodies
Funded Feb 7, 2017Opening the boxes of healthy meals and snacks, with my students, was such a blessing. Because of your generosity and kindness, my students now have what they need to become more successful scholars. With a snack in in one hand and a pen in the other, my students are ready to tackle classic literature and writing assignments! Thank you, thank you, thank you! No child should have to go through their school day hungry, and they certainly should never have to go to bed with an empty belly. Your support is greatly appreciated.”

Funded Jan 23, 2017Thank you so much for your support and generosity! This project is very special, because it addresses a student's needs, beyond academics. Sometimes, it is the little things, like shampoo, a toothbrush, toothpaste, or body wash, that make all the significant difference for a child. We know that when a child is cared for, they are more likely to be successful in school. Through your donation, you showed my students that you care. Through this project, we were able to help students and their families.”

AP ENGLISH LITERATURE STUDENTS NEED MORE BOOKS
Funded Dec 8, 2016We started reading this book last week, and we can't put it down! Our teacher, Mrs. Lymberopoulos, said that it was her "absolute favorite book on this planet", and now we see why. When we were freshmen, Mrs. L was our teacher, and she read The Kite Runner with us, so when she announced that we were reading A Thousand Splendid Suns, we were all in! As an AP English Literature and Composition class, we are used to reading and analyzing literature, but this book is extra special, because you helped us. Thank you so much for your donation!”

We Need ESSENTIALS to get through Our Day!
Funded Jan 22, 2017Across the country, on a daily basis, children go to bed hungry. Often times this hunger lasts into the weekend. With this project, my goal is to try and alleviate some of the burden from families, which are already struggling. The idea is to provide a meal or snack for children who remain at school late to complete work, take classes, or perform community service. From the moment the packages were delivered, the snacks were put to good use. Thank you for your generosity and kindness. Together, with your help, we could change a child's life.”

A Clean Classroom For Healthy Kids
Funded Jan 21, 2017Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity toward my students. All of the products were delivered quickly! In no time, at all, we put it to good use. We spent part of our morning cleaning and sanitizing our classroom, then putting away the rest of the products so we could use them throughout the rest of our school year. This cold and flu season has been a rough one, and we are only half way through it. Because of you, we will be able to keep our classroom, our second home, germ free and clean!”

Mrs. Lymberopoulos
