  • Hygiene Essentials for Inner City Teens

    Funded Dec 24, 2019

    Happy New Year!

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kindness and for your generosity. Many of my students lack the basic necessities that many of us take for granted, or do not give much thought to. Among such items are hygiene products such as shampoo, body wash, anti antiperspirant, feminine hygiene products, and facial cleanser. Because of you, my students will not go without those products. I am currently in the process of creating care packages, for my students to take home to use and to share with their families.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

  • Speed, Strength, and Resistance Training for the Rugby Rockstars

    Funded Jul 7, 2019

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My girls rugby team players are so excited to kick off the new season. Because of your kindness and generosity, their workouts will be more intense, more targeted, and more meaningful. They will run faster, build their strength, and increase their resistance and endurance. Rugby is a tough sport, but my wonderful, smart, kind, young ladies are way tougher! We practice three times a week, and play tournament style games on Fridays. In the classroom, my girls are scholars, maintaining high GPAs and preparing for college. On the field, however, they are fierce competitors. GO EAGLES!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

  • Cooking Together - Engaging Families, Students, and Staff

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kindness and for your generosity. In the past, my students often spoke about having a cooking club, but it was never possible because we lacked the resources and tools necessary to actually run the club. Your donation to my students has brought a dream to reality. Now, not only will our club function, but we will also be able to involve parents and school staff, to join us. We are all so excited to work together, making memories, having meaningful conversations, cooking together, and enjoying delicious meals.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

  • Keeping Teens Healthy and Clean

    Funded Dec 7, 2018

My students and I were so excited to open the boxes, filled with the supplies that will keep us clean and healthy. Currently, we are in the process of distributing the supplies throughout the school. Our goal is to supply every classroom, in our school, with tissues, Lysol wipes, Lysol spray, air fresheners, and the other products needed to ensure a germ free environment for our entire school community. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you! We wish you a Happy New Year, filled with love, health, and prosperity!”

  • Equipment for Rugby Rockstars

    Funded Mar 2, 2019

Our first practice, of the season, was a huge success, thanks to you! Our new equipment arrived just in time! It all arrived in my classroom the evening before. I spent some time pumping the new balls, with the new pumps, and putting them in the new mesh bags. When the girls came down for their practice , the next day, they were so excited. They kept telling me how they love the smell of the new rugby balls! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for helping make this all possible. We look forward to a successful season!”

  • Practice Makes Almost Perfect - Essentials for Girls Rugby

    Funded Mar 8, 2019

My girls and I are so incredibly fortunate and blessed , to have such gracious, kind, and generous benefactors! Thank you, so very much, for making this project a reality. From the moment the Amazon boxes were delivered to us, we have put all of the gear to good use. Our daily practices include running, stretching, strength training, in addition to drills which incorporate passing, tackling, and kicking. All of it was made possible because of you!

Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  • Rugby Rockstars - Practice and Safety

    Funded Mar 8, 2019

Consistent practice is important, when honing a craft. Therefore, tackling dummies are exactly what we needed to help the girls build confidence in their tackling skills and abilities. In addition to tackling, however, the girls have shown great progress with their passing skills, as well. However, with all of the full contact and ball skills, minor bumps, bruises, and scrapes are likely to occur, as it did during yesterday's practice. Yet, thanks to you, we were ready!

Thank you for making all of this possible, for my team!”

    With gratitude,

  • Safety Gear for Inner-City Girls Rugby Team

    Funded Mar 8, 2019

    Safety first, right?

A few days ago, after a particularly hectic morning, I walked into my classroom, mere minutes before my athletes were to arrive for practice, I found several boxes, from Amazon, sitting on my desk, on the other side of the classroom. My heart skipped a beat, and I couldn't wait to open the boxes. I quickly ran over, and began gently tearing along the middle of the boxes, that were secured with tape. Our safety materials had arrived!

From the bottom of our hearts, my student athletes and I, thank you for your kindness and for your generosity!”

  • Uniforms for Rugby Rock Stars

    Funded Mar 8, 2019

The Rugby Team's new uniforms have arrived, and they are awesome! As soon as I opened the box, I sent a message with pictures of the new gear, to my girls! They quickly responded with "It looks so good!" and "I love it". The truly are very nice. We will look absolutely incredible, when we set foot on the field. With red tops and black bottoms, my girls will look stylish and tough.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kindness, generosity, and dedication to my student athletes.”

  • Our Presentations Will be On Point!

    Funded Dec 29, 2018

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kindness and your generosity. When the box filled with our project materials arrived, my students were absolutely ecstatic! We immediately tore into the box, and carefully examined our new technology. Right away, we started discussing some of the fun ways we will use the materials, during our Senior Exit Portfolio presentations. This year, my students' presentations will certainly be stellar. Once again, I thank you so much for helping me make my classroom lessons ore engaging.”
