  • Our New Normal

    Funded Jan 29, 2021

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for the kindness and generosity you have shown my students. The supplies from this project will be used by the students, to help promote smart, healthy, sanitary lifelong practices, to curb the spread of Coronavirus, within our classrooms and our school community, as a whole. By contributing to this project, you have contributed to my students' health and safety.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Be well and stay safe, everyone. Remember to always wear you mask.”

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

    Funded May 29, 2020

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for the kindness and generosity you have shown my students. You have truly helped make a difference in the lives of many people.

Shortly after this project was funded, and the items were delivered, they were added to care packages that helped put food on the table for over eighty students and their families from our school community. Members of our staff made the socially distanced deliveries.

Thank you for helping me help so many people. Be well and stay safe.”

  • Hygiene Products for Distance Learning

    Funded May 28, 2020

They say "It takes a village to raise a child." This old adage has never been truer. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for coming together, and joining me to help provide hygiene products for my students and their families, who have been impacted by the COVID - 19 pandemic. As soon as the items were delivered to my home, they were quickly packaged, labeled, and hand delivered to the homes of those who need the products most. Thank you for helping me help "my kids". Be well and stay safe.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

  • Nutrition for Food Insecure Children During the COVID-19 Pandemic

    Funded May 16, 2020

Unfortunately, food insecurity has always been a problem for inner city school children and their families. However, the Corona Virus pandemic very quickly added a new, deeper level of fear and uncertainty for many families. With your help, I was able to prepare care packages, containing food staples for one hundred families within my school community. Teacher volunteers helped distribute the groceries to students and their families, all over the city. Thank you for helping me help them! Be well and stay safe!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

This classroom project was brought to life by FamilyAlbum and 5 other donors.
  • Nutrition for Food Insecure Households

    Funded May 7, 2020

The past three months have been indescribably difficult for all of us, but for many of the students whom I work with, it has been insufferable. Many of them (and their families) have have experienced fear, anger, confusion, illness, food uncertainty, lack of money and resources, loss of loved ones, and so on. Together, however, we helped many families gain access to nutritious food ... that helped alleviate one of their concerns, at least for a few days. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for helping me help them!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

This classroom project was brought to life by The PwC Charitable Foundation and 3 other donors.
  • Essential Hygiene Necessities for Distance Learning

    Funded May 19, 2020

On a Friday afternoon, in mid March, I waved to my students and exclaimed "Have a great weekend, everyone! Be well, behave, and make smart choices!" I didn't know it then, but that would be the last time I saw them in person. You see, for many students living in poverty, school provides a safe place where many of their basic needs are met. Many children turn to us for basic supplies. The pandemic created a roadblock, but with your help, we were able to take a detour. Because of your help, I was able to create 100 care packages, that were distributed to 100 families, to help meet some of their basic hygiene needs. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for helping me help them! Be well and stay safe!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

This classroom project was brought to life by FamilyAlbum and 4 other donors.
  • Oh, The Places You'll Go - Supplies for Seniors

    Funded May 28, 2020

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! The pandemic has truly caused havoc for my graduating seniors. In addition to the fear, loss, and uncertainty each off them have experienced, they have also shown me how resilient they are. As they leave me, and prepare for college, I want for each of them to have a little reminder of how beautiful life is. Because of your help, each and every one of them will have their reminder... Oh, the places they will go... I can't wait to hear about their adventures! Be well and stay safe!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

  • Tablets for Distance Learning

    Funded May 7, 2020

Distance learning, especially on such short notice, is super difficult. Making matters even worse, was the fact that many children were even less prepared because they did not have access to the technology necessary for the abrupt transition. Thanks to your kindness and generosity, 10 more students will benefit and will be ready to learn. from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for the kindness and generosity you have shown my students, during these extremely difficult, unprecedented times of COVID-19.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

  • Get In My Belly

    Funded May 6, 2020

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for your kindness and for your generosity. The COVID 19 pandemic has been incredibly difficult for all of us, but for the children who go to bed with empty bellies, it is a nightmare. Your donations have made it possible to alleviate some of the stress on the families we service. My next step is to package and drop off all of this food, with the help of my friends, family, and colleagues. The families will be so grateful. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of children.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

  • Laptops for Future Leaders

    Funded Jan 2, 2020

"Miss, Miss, Miss, our new laptops are here!" When my students saw the delivery, of three boxes, with my name across the top, they knew exactly what was in those unassuming, brow, cardboard boxes. The truth is, I may have been even more excited than they were when the boxed were delivered to our classroom.

You made our wish a reality! For this, I simply cannot thank you enough. You have given my students access to knowledge, access to their futures, access to make change. Thank you for caring so much about my students, that you put the world at their fingertips. Happy New Year!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lymberopoulos

My school is located in Queens, N.Y., the most culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood in the world. The children who enter my classroom, come from all over NYC. As such, they carry with them a wealth of knowledge, that contributes to a dynamic classroom. My students include AP, general education, and special education students. In addition, many of my students also come from economically disadvantaged homes. Therefore, many times, resources are scarce.
