  • Mice to Help with Virtual Learning

    Funded Mar 4, 2021

My students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Being provided with a mouse has really helped each student to feel more comfortable and less stressed when working. They could not believe that someone who they didn't even know would go out of their way to help purchase a mouse for each and every one of them, in order to have a better education. Your donation and support have really touched my students this year.

I look forward to exploring new ways to interact with my students on the computers now that they have the correct tool to help them navigate their way through the numerous web browsers and applications they have open at any given time.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Luneau

  • iPads to Support Students Distance Learning

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom and my students. This year is the hardest year they have ever faced in terms of education. Your donation has allowed my students the ability the opportunity to venture out and approach learning in a new way.

Being able to integrate ipads into the classroom has allowed my students the opportunity to expand their knowledge in new ways. They are utilizing apps to draw, create and demonstrate their learning. They can access youtube at any time to watch educational videos, and they are even creating their own youtube videos demonstrating their learning. The students who are learning inside the building can easily collaborate with their classmates at home through the use of different apps and websites.

But most of all, the students are having fun. It is exciting for them to be able to work from an iPad, which in turn increases their engagement in the lesson and the learning which results in a deeper understanding of the lesson.

Thank you for helping my students to have the ability of a pleasant, high-quality education during such trying times.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Luneau

  • Personal Supply Packets for Distance Learning

    Funded Oct 1, 2020

Thank you for your generous donations to my students this year. Without your support, I truly don't know that all of my students would have been able to master many of the topics which we have covered so far in math class this year. Math is a beautiful and creative subject which has become very limited and rigid due to online learning. However, your donation has allowed my students the opportunity to explore topics in ways which would not have been possible without these tools which have set them up for success. We will continue to use these supplies when we transition back to the classroom for hybrid learning in just a few weeks, and these supplies will also allow the students the opportunity to use the manipulatives without worry of transmitting germs as they can keep their own personal supply pouch.

Thank you again for all that you have done for my students, your donation is helping to close the education gap which haunts our nation. I truly appreciate your generosity”

  • Blue Light Blocking Glasses for Health and Safety

    Funded Aug 8, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my students in this wonky year. Being that we are still learning 100% virtually, your donation has helped to improve the comfort level, and health of so many students in my school. Students from grades 6-8 have been provided with these special blue light blocking glasses which is allowing them to be able to sit in front of their computer screen for extended periods of time and in turn complete their work and find ways to grow during this pandemic. Students and parents alike have continued to share their thanks with me and to every single one of them, I let them know that in fact, it was YOU who made this happen.

Thank you again for your love and support of my students during this tough time, your donation has helped to make their education this year so much more comfortable. You are not forgotten through all of this.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Luneau

  • 3D Printer to Link the Arts and Engineering

    Funded Jan 7, 2019

I can not express how grateful I am for your selfless donations. My students are thrilled that they have access to a 3D printer right inside their classroom. This is the most up to date technology that is currently out there, and it brings so much excitement to all students in the school. Nearly every day, I have a student that I don't teach come up to me and ask "are you the one who has the 3D printer? Can I try it out sometime?".

While accessing the printer does not come easily to me, some of my students are extremely intuitive with it and have helped me figure out all the little tricks it has.

I have currently teamed up with the art teacher. Shortly, all 8th graders will work in art class to create an object that they will print in a few weeks. It's so great to allow my students, of low sociol-economic status have access to these sorts of projects. They never would have been able to have these experiences without you.

From the bottom of my heart, and from every one of the students I teach, thank you so much for your contribution to their future.”

  • STEM and Engineering in 8th Grade Math

    Funded Nov 22, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students are really excited to be able to experiment and explore with the new 3D Pen and the Robotics kit. We currently have a 4 person engineering team that is experimenting with the tools that have been provided. They were ecstatic to open the packages and get started right away. Nearly every day one of those kids asks if they can come for office hours during lunch and recess to experiment with the robotics kit or the 3D Pen. However, every Tuesday and Thursday the students give up their lunch and recess to stay inside to work.

Thank you so much again for inspiring these students and showing them that people out there care about them, care about their education and care about their future as well as the future of our nation and our world!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Luneau

  • Technology for the 8th Grade Math Class

    Funded Mar 14, 2018

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. The iPad has been a hit and students are always on task when using it. My students did not know that I was ordering this iPad, so when it came, they were ecstatic. It blew their minds that strangers could be so generous as to provide their own money to help purchase an iPad pro for this class to use.

Your donations help to solidify our belief in humans and reminded us that there are so many people out there that just want to help make the world a better place.

Thank you for helping to make my 8th grade math classroom a better, more positive, more appreciated, and more loved place.”

    Ms. Luneau

  • Colors for 8th Grade

    Funded Aug 24, 2014

I want to thank you for your generous donation to my 8th grade classroom. Your donation helped me to stock my room with paper, scissors, glue markers, crayons and colored pencils. My students use your donations daily. We use Interactive Notebooks in which the students are to take notes as well as interpret what they have learned using their creativity to create pictures, graphic organizers, charts, poems, songs, newspaper articles, etc. Without your help supplying the students with paper, scissors and coloring utensils, they never would have been able to work to their full potential.

The day your shipment came in we were just about to take a quiz. However, both the students and myself were so ecstatic, we could not wait to open the boxes, the quiz was postponed and the students took turns checking out their shipment of supplies. I have been emphasizing to them that these are their supplies and that there are people out there who love them and want to see them succeed. They have taken great pride in the supplies and love to use them whenever possible. I am seeing great work from my students as they are using these supplies almost daily. Without your support, I don't know that my students would have been as engaged and excited to create their assignments.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you for all you have done to make my classroom more exciting and engaging for the students. We will continue to use your gracious contribution and I can't wait to see what they are going to create next!”

I teach 92 8th grade math students at a middle school located in Harlem NYC. Nearly all students come from a low income household, resulting in all students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Our school partners with a local garden who helps us to recycle and compost all of our waste at lunch. many of my students come to me below grade level and it is my goal that each of them leave this school having made as much progress as truly possible. Each student is caring, passionate and reflective on their learning and is looking to gain as much learning as they possibly can. Students are broken up into 3 co-taught ICT classrooms of approximately 30 kids in which they gain insight from both a general education and special education teacher.
