Having the ability to implement the utilization of an AED unit when teaching students how to effectively and appropriately provide CPR to an unconscious individual leads to better skill acquisition, enhanced understanding, and a greater sense of public service work and empathy to those who may at one time, require this level of care. Students truly enjoy receiving first hand experience when learning how to use an AED during their CPR education unit. Questions are eagerly asked and heightened levels of participation can easily be observed as students strive to better understand how to properly administer CPR with the addition of the AED unit. This lesson could not be as successful without the addition of our newly obtained AED units received through Donors Choose. The health classes at Wilcox High School will be forever grateful for those who have donated to this life saving curriculum.”
