Scientists at Work!
Funded Feb 14, 2018Words can not express how much this donation has meant to my students! From the moment the science materials arrived they have been eager to do experiments using these supplies. These instruments and materials given my students the ability to have hands-on learning experiences with real tools rather than demonstrations or videos of these experiments. They feel like they are REAL scientists.
Through our experiments, the students have been able to learn about so many interesting topics and skills. In addition, they have rekindled a love for science and learning through these experiences with real scientific tools.
Thank you again for your donations to this project. As teachers we work endlessly to teach and motivate our students. This project has allowed that to be enhanced and in turn spark an intrinsic motivation for my students to love learning and science.”

Ms. Lorenzo
Reading to Learn!
Funded Dec 20, 2017Words can not express how much this donation has meant to my students! From the moment the books arrived they have been eager to read them and explore all the topics they cover from Science and Social Studies. These books have sparked conversations and new interests for my students and every time they complete their class assignments they beg for a chance to grab a book from our new classroom library.
Through our classroom library, the students have been able to read about so many interesting people and topics, such as Space, Natural disasters, the human body, the contributions of female African Americans, US History, map skills, etc. In addition, they have rekindled a love for reading and learning through these experiences with interesting and picture filled books. I've had several of my students as questions and research topics based on the books they have selected and enjoyed from the class library.
Thank you again for your donations to this project. As teachers we work endlessly to teach and motivate our students. This project has allowed that to be enhanced and in turn spark an intrinsic motivation for my students to love learning.”

Learning Around the World
Funded May 8, 2011Thank you for supporting my class. The students in my class are so excited to use our new materials. They love to learn about new and exciting places. Recently, we put the materials to use to learn about various countries around the world in preparation for our school's Multicultural Day Event. The students learned in depth about our class country "Italy" and then traveled around the world by visiting different classrooms that represented countries such as Egypt, Argentina, Tahiti, India and China. The globe and continent books really helped prepare my students to lean about the world. It helped them understand the geographic locations and relations to them, allowing them a better understanding of our world as a whole. These items will continue to be a resource within my current class and my future students. These materials will continue to serve as stimulation, spark curiosity and engage students in lifelong learning.
Thank you again for supporting my students!
