  • Math Manipulatives!

    Funded Apr 22, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donations to the classroom. These materials have been incredibly beneficial in the classroom. The students use the large clock for our daily math fluency of multiplication and division. This is a great visual for them to help with time management. The students also use the different playing cards during math intervention centers to help with fluency. The cards will also be used during summer school which helps add some excitement to the curriculum. The fraction kits will be very helpful and a great visual for the students. Again, thank you.”

  • Let's Read More!

    Funded Dec 28, 2016

Thank you so much for your generous donation to the classroom. The students absolutely love reading the new books that were added to the classroom library and to small group instruction. The Who Were...? book set have been a huge hit with the students. They really enjoy reading about influential people in history. These Who Were...? books have increased the students reading stamina and curiosity. Not only have these books helped improve reading but they have also helped the students with social studies. The students are also really loving the nonfiction books on American Presidents. I think their favorite book out of the whole set is about all the interesting and unique animals that lived in the White House.”

  • Keep Us Healthy!

    Funded Feb 3, 2017

Our donated cleaning supplies arrived today and we are so excited to have them in our classroom. We have been running low lately on all these materials so it was nice to be able to restock our closet. The students are very appreciative of all the cleaning supplies that will keep us healthy and in school. They are in awe of how much we had to unpack and put away. These materials will definitely help keep the germs away and clean up any messes that may occur. The class is very excited for the weekly Friday cleaning!”

  • Let's Stay Healthy!

    Funded Sep 14, 2016

Thank you for donating to the classroom. It has been very helpful having these cleaning materials. These materials help students take responsibility for cleaning and for their health. In addition, it helps me make sure I can maintain a healthy and clean learning environment. I make sure that the students use the Lysol wipes to clean their work spaces as well as other areas in the classroom that are used on a daily basis. Before I leave for the weekend I make sure to febreeze all fabrics and Lysol spray all items that get touched. Again, thank you for helping us stay healthy.”

Thank you so much for your generous donation to the classroom. The students feel so special on their birthday because of all the little treats you have given to the classroom. As little as they are, the pencil, necklace, and certificate mean so much to them. They look forward to it! In addition, the holiday themed pencils are very much enjoyed. The pencils help add some holiday cheer to the classroom. Again, thank you so much. You helped make a special day in the student's lives even more special.”

These new books are on a wide range of reading levels which cater to all the students. The books help teach the students how to have a healthy diet as well as what makes each person unique and different. I am very excited to hear all the new information they take away from these stories. Again, thank you for giving the students the opportunity to learn something new.”

  • Microsoft Surface for Research

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

Thank you very much for fully funding the Microsoft Surface for the classroom. The students truly enjoy having the surface in the classroom for research on different topics. We are currently learning about Colonial America and the students will be using the surface to look up different trades during the Colonial American times. The students are very appreciative of what #BestSchoolDay has been able to do for our classroom. Thank you again for all of your support and generosity. We can't wait to continue learning with the Microsoft Surface!”

  • Capturing Teaching Moments!

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

Thank you very much for fully funding our document camera for the classroom. We have received the document camera and it has been a great addition to the classroom and to our learning. It has become extremely useful during math and writing blocks. The students enjoy putting their writing under the document camera as a way of sharing their creative work with the class. It has also been wonderful in math so students can see a model example step by step, exactly as it should be done in their notebooks. Thanks again!”
