  • My Classroom Is Next to a Freeway! Please Help.

    Thank you so much for your donation to this project! My students and I are so grateful that we can finally be in a classroom in which the air is purified. I've noticed it's minimized the coughing and allergic reactions that usually occur. When I walk into the classroom, I can finally feel at ease knowing my students won't be bothered by the air quality, which affected their learning. In addition, we couldn't wait to use the vacuum cleaner and the cleaning supplies to wipe down all the surfaces to rid the germs. The classroom job for custodian is highly coveted now!”

  • Lovable Literacy Centers

    Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. Our literacy centers have been so much smoother being able to store our supplies in bins. We also have been using the magnetic hooks to move around our calendar, so that every student can participate.

    We love our new books and have been captivated by the non-fiction National Geographic and the Piggie and Elephant bundle.

    In Writer's Workshop, we have been learning how to write All About Books. Our new National Geographic books have been so helpful to guide my students in writing a book that includes interesting facts, detailed pictures and new words they have learned.”

  • Good Writers Need Good Writing Supplies

    Thank you so much for donating to our Good Writers Need Good Writing Supplies project. Writer's workshop has become much more productive now that students are able to access their materials with ease and safety.

    My students are able to access all their writing materials at their table instead of getting up from their seats repeatedly and wasting precious writing time. We are so excited when it comes time for writer's workshop. It's so easy for my students to identify which paper bin and writing box is theirs. Soon we will introduce pens during writer's workshop, which will be very exciting! We are truly learning that good writers need good writing supplies -- thanks to you. :)”

  • Reading Tools for Ravenous Readers

    My students are in love with their new fidgets and flexible seating! The look of shock and joy on their faces when I brought out the donuts and lawn chairs during Reader's Workshop was priceless. I've been using flexible seating and fidgets as an incentive to keep my students engaged and focused during reading, and their attention and engagement has truly improved. We've also been loving our new writer's workshop mentor texts and the books for read-aloud. Escargot was a fan favorite. :)

  • School Supplies for Kreative Kinders

    I can't express how grateful I am for your donations! Thank you so much for giving to my classroom. The impact of this project is great. Our class will not have to worry about having folders, post-its, highlighters, crayons, markers and other school supplies -- you have helped relieve that stress for us. As you can see in the photos, my kinders are especially excited to be rewarded with their puffy stickers and use their whisper phones during reader's workshop. The supplies are going to help the students keep their work organized and will allow them to have everything they need to be successful kinders.”

  • Books Grow Our Reading Muscles

    Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom library. My kindergarteners are completely smitten with their new books. Our favorite book so far is the "The Book with No Pictures". Having a wide range of books supports all of my students grow their reading muscles to become lifelong readers. They spend time outside of the classroom talking about the books we've read, which is building their comprehension and language skills. These books will serve our class throughout the year and the classes to come -- thank you again!”
