I am a teacher who works at a public Montessori school that serves children who have various needs. My class of 4th-6th graders needs to be able to feel comfortable at school and have all the supplies that they need in order to learn and grow during this transitional period between elementary and middle school, leading to adolescence. I have a number students who prefer to work in alternative places such as the floor rather than a table, and flexible seating will help them stay seated and focused during lessons and work time. Other needs my class has include softer lighting to provide a calming environment and more organizational materials. Organization is a large part of the learning process, and the organizational items such as the 10 drawer organizer for daily supplies and papers will help keep the classroom neat and organized!
