Ride Towards An Awesome Future!
Funded Oct 12, 2021When my student's saw their new bikes as they arrived at school in the morning, they could not contain their excitement and happiness. They were jumping up and down and screaming. What a joy it was to watch them. After such a hard time through the Pandemic, it is amazing how this small project can do such wonders for their self-esteem. The couldn't wait to get through the morning lessons and ride them at recess.
They have also been really good at sharing them, and sticking to their time limits in order for everyone to get a turn. Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and the students. They also are very thankful. And they ride the bikes everyday during recess and lunch. And we are lucky the weather has been good, so that they have this time almost daily.
As we do our Health units, we always bring in exercising and the students are always eager to share that riding bikes is exercise. And they have fun doing their exercises.”

Funded May 5, 2021Thank you so much for your support to my classroom. I work at a Title 1 School and sometimes it is difficult to get the materials needed to make my students the most successful in school, especially for materials that they can also use at home. I have already used the printer in my classroom and I have been able to make booklets and other materials for my students. I also have been able to laminate those materials so the students may use them over again, or to save them for memories.
My students have been able to connect the color pictures to things in their classroom and at home. It is much more difficult to see the visuals when it is in black and white. They now have colorful resources to help them and their families practice what they learned at home.
The students have also made games using the printer, lamination and velcro that they can use at home at well. By having all these materials at school and at home has helped make my students to be so successful with their learning.
So again thank you for supporting teachers, especially during this trying time during the Pandemic,”

Funded May 11, 2021Thank you so much for your support to my classroom. I work at a Title 1 School and sometimes it is difficult to get the materials needed to make my students the most successful in school, especially for materials that they can also use at home. I have already used the printer in my classroom and I have been able to make booklets and other materials for my students. They have been using these materials in the classroom as well as at home.
Many students are visual learners and it has been wonderful to print in color. From the simplest worksheet, to the reading decodables, to creating their own story books. Color is wonderful!
My students have also enjoyed sending their work straight to the printer from their computer. They feel like such a grown up. I am also able to make copies of their drawings and assessments for their portfolios. So I have a copy at school and they can take their originals home for their families. So again thank you for supporting teachers, especially during this trying time during the Pandemic,”

Funded Aug 26, 2020As we began this new school year, teaching through a Pandemic, brought on many new challenges. Teaching Kindergarten students through zoom and trying to make the greatest impact I can on their learning, I needed to upgrade my technology. This allowed me better access to my students and helping them to stay more engaged. By adding the extra monitor, I can share my screen and still see all my students while they are learning. I am able to make sure they are focused on the screen and keep them paying attention. And because I am teaching from my classroom, the computer stand allows me to move around my classroom more freely. And that also allows me to utilize my resources and materials, while the students are on the zoom. When we come back, the audio enhancer will help the children hear me better because I will still have to wear a mask. This Donor's Choose project has been a vital element for my zoom teaching, and I very much appreciate my donor's generous contributions.”

iPad
Funded May 11, 2015Thank you so much for your donations and allowing me to receive an iPad to use in my classroom. I was able to do the DIBEL testing & other assessments much easier and quicker with my students. I have also used the iPad with the many district trainings I have gone to for language arts curriculum and our new math program.
I also downloaded many learning games for them to use & they just love it. The students and I also used it with our animal research projects. They were able to do research about their animal and find out many interesting facts. With technology so important in education, I am very grateful to have more of it in my classroom.”

Funded Oct 5, 2012Dear Friends,
I would like to thank everyone for their amazing support of donors choose. It is wonderful that you thought that this project "Express Yourself" was just as important as I do. The budget crisis is affecting all areas in a school. This is especially evident with classroom supplies. To be able to print out my students work, print out pictures of my students or to make a copy without worrying that I do not have enough ink is so wonderful. Again, I appreciate your help and I know my students appreciate it as well.”

Funded Mar 15, 2012I would like to thank you again for helping our classroom get a working camera. I have already started taking lots of pictures and the students just love posing for the camera. For many of the students, Kindergarten is their first school experience, and anyway that I can make it more special for them I will do. Many of these pictures will be in a Memory Book that they will take home in June to share with their family. Years later they can look back at what they did in Kindergarten, how hard they worked, and see the fun they had as well.
I have also created a photo account for my parents to access, so they can see all the pictures. And they can save any extra pictures they would like. I have already had one parent comment about how great it is to see what her son is doing while she is at work. What a wonderful thing that is to hear and I am so happy to share the pictures with all my parents.
So again, thank you so much to everyone for your help and support. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful class and I hope you enjoy the pictures I have posted on Donorschoose.org”

Let The Music Play!
Funded Jan 27, 2012Hello everyone,
I wanted to take this time to say thank you very much for your support with the Donors Choose project. With your help I was able to get a working music player. The Ipod and docking station have been a wonderful asset to my reading and music program.
I have been able to play my CD's, download new songs and poems that go with our new literature program and the kids just love it.
It is also helping so much with my english language learners too. It so much fun to learn while singing and my students even continue singing at their desks. For example, when they are spelling words during writing such as purple, I hear them go "p-u-r-p-l-e" purple, purple. Or they are singing a song about our sight words or the weather, which is our current unit theme, I know that they are enjoying learning.
So again, thank you for your support. It is greatly appreciated.”

Funded Jan 13, 2012Once again I would like to thank you so much for your generous donations. The children in my class have really enjoyed using all the art supplies that we received. We have made so many projects, there isn't enough room here for all the pictures. But they will be able to enjoy them in their memory books they take home in June. And everytime I take out something we are going to use, (the glitter glue/paint is very popular), the students won't stop asking if it is time to use them. They just can't wait!
We have also used the supplies for other curricular areas, such as math. The students love using the buttons not only on their 100 day clowns but for counting as well. Art goes so well with math and my students really get into their lessons. It is a pleasure watching them have so much fun.
So thank you and I hope you enjoy the pictures. ”
