Reading, Reading Anywhere!
Funded Sep 20, 2022Reading is what my students love to do. Their whole faces lit up when they saw their new library cart. And it has been a wonderful addition to my classroom. Almost everyday, my students ask me to make sure I roll the cart out so they can read during recess and lunch. Even my lower students grab a book and read the pictures. Some of my students pretend they are the teacher and read to a group of students. It is so wonderful to watch them and their love for reading. I can't thank you enough for your generous donations that made this possible.”

Funded Aug 27, 2022Everyone really does love art. And this is so true with my students. With the oil pastels, more water colors and twistable crayons, my students have been so creative. And with the sheet protectors and laminating sheets, I have been able to protect the art for my student's families. Kindergarten parents love to see all of this coming home.
When I took out the box of oil pastels, all the students were in awe. And when they asked if they were allowed to use them, they were so excited to find out the answer was yes. So they have just been having fun, recently using them to make Fall color pictures.
Again, I would like to thank you so much for your kindness and generous donation to my classroom.”

Funded Aug 9, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations in support of my classroom and my students. There are so many materials that teachers love to have to enhance the student's learning. And art is so much a part of that. From the stamp pads, to the sharpie markers, to the water colors, I try to make sure the students have all kinds of materials to be creative.
They have really enjoyed doing art because, unlike letter writing which has specific rules, they can be free to use their imagination. And I always tell them, "art is whatever you want it to be." So again, thank you so much for your kindness.”

Funded Aug 3, 2022Thank you so much for helping me get materials for my classroom. And we have been useing everything in the classroom. In a short period of time, my students have used the water colors, I have laminated their art work for their family memories and desk pets are an amazing motivation for my students.
Kindergarten students are so excited to be in school, for many, this is their first school experience. So being able to have fun while they are learning is so wonderful for them. They love to play with their desks pets (which are rewards), give them food, read them a book or put them to sleep. And the smile on their faces, is so amazing.
So again, thank you so much for supporting my classroom with your generous donations.”

Funded Jun 30, 2022My students absolutely love their T-shirts for spirit days and field trips. They had so much fun drawing their own picture and then seeing their face on their own T-shirt gives them a big smile. It was heartwarming as a teacher to watch them, try to find each other as they came in the morning wearing them to school. And all my parents loved this school memory. Something they told me they will always keep calm. Thank you so much for all your generous donations Whicj fulfilled this donors choose project.”

Funded Apr 7, 2022It is difficult to believe that we are still in a Pandemic. I have worked hard to make sure my students not only get the best school experience, but that they have a place to feel safe. And my students work hard and are very kind to one another. They know that last year they were not able to have the school experience that others previously had, but they have made the most at catching up. So they are proud to be in school and they wanted to share that pride. So thank you so much for supporting my project. They were excited to draw their faces on their shirts and we have already worn them many times....on field trips and school spirit day. Their smiles when their t-shirts first arrived, amazing. So again, thank you so much for supporting my classroom, my students and teachers.”

Funded Mar 2, 2022As we have continued through another year dealing with the Pandemic, I have worked hard to make sure my students not only get the best school experience, but that they have a place to feel safe. Funded Jan 11, 2022Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my student's safety. When I wrote this project, I never thought I would have to ask for masks and we would still be in a Pandemic.
We have used the masks daily, including the teacher's aide. And all of my student's have been wonderful about wearing their masks, even though they are over it! They loved wearing the colorful ones, which made it more fun. As this Pandemic actually seems to have some ending, and they can be maskless outside, helping my student's stay healthy is greatly appreciated. So again, Thank you so much.”

Let's Get Louder!
Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for your support with my technology project. We have received the wireless speaker and it has made an amazing impact already. My students can hear so much better, all the videos and curriculum I use through our online programs. Even using Go Noodle for example, to exercise, has improved their enthusiasm because they can hear clearly. Sometimes the videos I share are very soft, and I was having trouble getting my students to engage. But with my new speaker, everything is clearer and much louder. We have been also using it right now for our Holiday show songs and my students are able to sing along with greater precision. They just love our new sound. So again, thank you so much.”

Funded Oct 24, 2021When my student's saw their new bikes as they arrived at school in the morning, they could not contain their excitement and happiness. They were jumping up and down and screaming. What a joy it was to watch them. After such a hard time through the Pandemic, it is amazing how this small project can do such wonders for their self-esteem. The couldn't wait to get through the morning lessons and ride them at recess.
They have also been really good at sharing them, and sticking to their time limits in order for everyone to get a turn. Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and the students. They also are very thankful. And they ride the bikes everyday during recess and lunch. And we are lucky the weather has been good, so that they have this time almost daily.
As we do our Health units, we always bring in exercising and the students are always eager to share that riding bikes is exercise. And they have fun doing their exercises.”
