Currently, my students require break time in between activities. I notice differences in my students when given a choice with a sensory toy. My students are noticeably more relaxed in their work and less disruptive of their peers. When given a sensory toy such as a stress ball when they need a break, Students will find a quiet space to have a break with the item of their choosing. Sensory toys are a great way to help a student with special needs. My students process better and decrease their fear and discomfort through natural playing and learning in the school. Students enjoy using kinetic sand, Squishy Stress relief toys, and touch and feel items such as sensory books. The donations to this project will help students grasp objects, develop social learning skills like planning, turn-taking, and sharing.
