Rug Rats!

Thank you so much for your contribution! We received colorful, brand new carpets in each of our classrooms! The students were SO excited when they arrived, and immediately wanted to sit on them to "try them out!" Some of the comments that were overheard were, "They are so beautiful! Now we don't have to sit on the cold floor!" and "Our classroom is cozy! The rugs make the room pretty!"
You have helped to inspire our learners! They are excited to work in a comfortable area and happily bring their clipboards and papers, or Chromebooks to the floor and settle in. We've also enjoyed reading many stories together on the rugs, and will have this quiet area to enjoy for many, many days ahead!
We greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness, and plan on using our carpet areas for math activities, science lessons, and social studies projects.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Neukom Family Foundation and 4 other donors.

Sadly, our students have been sitting on old, stained, torn rugs. We are throwing them away and need new ones to accommodate our learners! The carpet areas are a great destination for class gatherings, and students often choose to take their lesson materials and clipboards and sit quietly on the rug to work. We believe that learning should be fostered in a safe, positive, and comfortable environment! With your help, new rugs will expand our learning space and create a warm, friendly atmosphere that will promote positive behavior, reduce noise, and create child friendly surroundings. Your donation will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement!
