Basic Supplies to Succeed in Speech-Language Therapy!
Funded Oct 25, 2019Thank you so much for your donations!! The support you have shown to my wonderful students is greatly appreciated. With these new resources, I have been able to differentiate and scaffold various activities to meet the needs of each student. I have been able to provide various multiple learning experiences which has allowed for improvement in expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language skills. The laminator and laminating paper will help protect visual supports needed for behavior and support during sessions. When working with small groups or push-in sessions with an entire class, each student receives their own colored zippered pocket filled with a whiteboard, pen, eraser, and visuals to support socialization and communication skills. The supplies from this project have been used to create supports to increase engagement, participate and improve on current expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language skills, as well as, allow my students to create multisensory-based projects, collaborate with their classmates, and engage in joint attention activities. All of these materials have been incredible additions to our sessions and learning and we could not be more grateful for your love and support!”

Funded Apr 23, 2018Thank you so much for providing us with these wonderful resources and materials to help improve our learning and expanding our speech and language skills. The students were beyond excited when they saw the new materials and have been asking for them (whether verbally or with gestures). We have used the felt board and felt story pieces during our literacy lessons and as reinforcers. These felt visuals are helpful to help provide support in answering WH- questions, as well as, recalling and retelling stories. The microphone has been a huge hit. I have used it during sessions to help promote engagement, answering questions, and to gain attention and (ie. can only talk if you have the microphone), and as a reinforcer/reward. All of these materials have been incredible additions to our sessions and learning.”

Learning to Play AND Playing to Learn!
Funded Jan 26, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations and contributions to my student's learning to play and playing to learn project. As you can see from the pictures, my students love their new materials for speech therapy and learning to play in the classroom. They are engaged and enjoying learning to play with various materials- puzzles, books, toys, and games to identify letters, follow directions, and take turns.
The students are always so excited when I come in with new materials and are motivated to learn and stay focused throughout the session and lesson. For my more verbal students, they will vocalize that they want to use materials that we used last time, and my non-verbal students will use gestures/ voice-output devices to request for more/play again. It is so rewarding to see my students having fun while learning and that these materials made an impact on their learning and skills. I am so grateful to still see that learning can be fun as well as education thanks to all of you! I love working with my students on improving their expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language skills through the use of all of these materials.
I look forward to continue using these materials and games as a prerequisite basic language skills.
We can't thank you all enough for changing our lives and making our educational experience more fun and rewarding!”

Funded Jan 25, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations and contributions to my student's and their learning. As you can see from the pictures, my students love their new materials for speech therapy and learning in the classroom. They are engaged and enjoying learning words, letters, and sounds with all the new supplies!
I have implemented these materials into my individual and group speech sessions. In the group sessions, we have used "Sight Words" to improve on phonological and phonemic awareness skills- identifying words, letters, and sounds to help achieve basic language and reading understanding skills. Playing interactive games with these skills also helps improve social interaction and pragmatic skills- turn-taking, waiting, listening, engaging in conversations and maintaining topics. During both group and individual sessions, I have implemented the "Letter recognition Instant Learning Center" to improve on letter/sound recognition, and letter awareness skills, which are are some of the prerequisites for reading readiness skills.
I love working with my students on improving their expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language skills by recognition of letters, sounds, words, rhyming words, and much more.
I look forward to continue using these materials and games as a prerequisite reading readiness and language skills.

Funded Nov 9, 2016Thank you for your support and incredibly generous donations. With your help, my students are now able to use technology and educational apps to increase their skills in speech and language. They love that they can play educational games to help their communication skills and interact with their peers during their speech session. We also use the iPad as reward for doing a great job during their session. It is incredible to see the skills the student's have by just implementing the iPad into their weekly sessions. Their progress in just this short amount of time is outstanding. I am truly looking forward to the new year ahead of us.
Thank you again for your kind contribution to enhancing my student's skills and knowledge as they learn to grow and grow to learn.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Mallory
I Help Students COMMUNICATE, What's Your Superpower?
Funded Oct 23, 2016Dear Donors,
As you can see from the pictures, my students were so surprised and excited about their new materials for speech therapy and learning in the classroom. By looking at the pictures, you can see some of their expressions and excitement before opening the box and when they opened the box. I wish all of you could have been there when the box was opened because no picture can do any justice for their sounds effects and actions as they worked together to open the box and shared their thoughts and emotions!
Since this day, I have implemented these materials into my individual and group speech sessions. In the group sessions, we have used "Let's Talk" to help as conversation starters for those students with difficulty initiating and maintaining conversation, as well as, turn-taking. We have also used the "Vocabulary Cards" with the Smart Pencil to work on following directions including various concepts (descriptive, prepositional) and turn-taking. Whenever I enter a new classroom with the materials, the students always get so excited and ask to play the game they played the previous session. I am so proud that my students remember the materials we have used and want to continue to play it again and again and grateful that learning can be fun as well as education thanks to all of you! I love working with my students on improving their pragmatic skills with the sentence building materials, answering and asking WH- questions with the Storytelling game and expanding sentences into conversation with peers and adults.
Most of the time, the iPads are used as reinforcers at the end of the session if they follow through and complete their necessary tasks given to them. All of the apps are in folders that are indicators of what category they fall under (ie. articulation, following direction, matching, sorting, etc) and are all educational. In some cases, we will use the iPad during the session for following directions or sorting activities (Kangaroo Island; Edukids Room, etc).
I look forward to incorporating these materials and games as a prerequisite for following directions and talking about Thanksgiving and the upcoming Holidays, as well as, their plans, wishes, and details about these holidays.
We can't thank you all enough for changing our lives and making our educational experience more fun and rewarding!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Mallory
