These materials will help make a difference in their learning by giving them instant and hands-on academic supports. As a resource teacher servicing two grade levels, I cannot always be there to support my students. Having this assistive technology to support their academic abilities will help them to succeed. Learning with tablets is more exciting and interactive for children! Tablets are smaller and more portable than laptops. The easier accessibility of the tablet will make infusing technology in inclusive classrooms much easier. One way the tablet will help my students succeed is by giving them quick access to educational apps that will help them during class. LearningAlly is an audiobook library our students receive access too. My students often struggle when they are required to read complex texts. Having the texts read aloud to them during class quietly while others are reading will help them stay on track. Lastly, the Special Education department at my school is small and growing. Providing the students with access to tablets will increase the ability of the SPED team to meet the needs of this population.
