  • Now I know my ABC's!

    Funded Mar 12, 2010

Your generosity has just amazed me! It was so exciting to receive the huge package full of materials for my classroom. These alphabet games and activities were just what my class needed and my students began using all of our great new supplies immediately. Their favorite new activity is using the dough stampers to stamp letters and words into playdoh. They also love using the blocks and flashcards to build the capital and lowercase letters-and it is great practice for them as they learn to recognize the different letters in the alphabet. My more advanced kindergarteners have enjoyed using the letter stamps (with washable ink of course!) to stamp out words and sentences. All of the new materials have infused such an excitement for learning into my classroom. You are truly helping my students on their journey to becoming lifelong readers and writers. I can't thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. L.

  • We Love Listening To A Good Book!

    Funded Nov 24, 2009

Thank you again for supporting my kindergarten classroom! Our new books and tapes have been so exciting to receive. There are so many new books on tape that the children can always find something fresh and interesting to read at our listening center now.

My students have certainly been putting the materials to good use these last few weeks! They love being able to listen to the books on tape and read along with them at the same time. They especially love all of the Curious George books! My students are getting good practice to reinforce their reading and comprehension skills and are even able to have fun while doing it.

I love seeing my students get so excited about reading-and you truly helped to make it possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. L.

  • What Has Our Kindergarten Class Been Reading About?

    Funded Nov 5, 2009

Thank you again for supporting our classroom! Our new book display shelf has been such a welcome addition to our kindergarten room. In the weeks since we received the new shelf we have really been putting it to good use.

We've filled the entire shelf with the books we've been reading in class, and everyone that comes into our classroom sees the shelf and what books we've been reading. It has also been a great way for the students to be able to easily find books to read each day.

Reading is so important and your generous donation is helping my kindergarteners start their life-long love of reading!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. L.

I teach a diverse kindergarten class. At our school we have students that have immigrated from many different countries all around the world. Many of my young students are attending school for the first time when they walk through my doors and I want to make school an enjoyable and meaningful experience for them. Kindergarten is a special year- students are learning how to read and write and make new friends. My kindergarten students are excited about learning and we appreciate any donations to our classroom, big or small! Help me spark lifelong learners!
