I am requesting a classroom area rug so the students have a designated place to gather for whole group instruction, and also to create a warm welcoming atmosphere in our first-grade classroom. I love the alphabet border on the rug for assigned carpet spots, and the world map on the rug can be used in so many ways in so many different lessons. I am also requesting legos and magna-tiles as renewable resources used in our STEM curriculum (Science Technology Engineering Math). In education, it is so important to find ways to maximize your resources. The items I have requested will be used for years to come and by the hundreds of students will continue to teach through the years.
