My students simply amaze me each and every day. They are from rural Louisiana. Our school is surrounded by a sugar cane field. Some of my students ride an hour on the bus just to get to school each morning, that is dedication. The school has made such an amazing turn around, and it is time to give students more of the resources they need. They need to be inspired by learning, to dream big and realize that if that want something, they need to persevere through the hard parts. Watching them succeed with what they have is just amazing. They are just grateful to be there with teachers that truly care about them.
