I teach in a magnet school for gifted and talented students in our school district. My students are a bright, inquisitive group of sixth graders from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. They are excited about learning and eager to embrace challenges set before them. Most plan to go to college and desire professional careers that require 21st century skills & knowledge. Gifted students are at risk for underachievement in school! They need challenging experiences that integrate technology, critical thinking, in-depth learning, and creativity to help prepare them for success in the future and for realization of their individual potential.
