  • Utilizing 21st Century Technology Skills

    Funded May 4, 2021

I am using my new computer to be able to bring digital resources to my students. For example, LAUSD has a website that has many updated resources. I have been browsing all of the new options on this new computer.

The kids love learning using technology, and I'm so excited to share what I have learned with them.

Our district has paid for several new digital applications this year, and having an updated computer has made them so much easier to use.

I really appreciate your generous donation to our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Klopping

  • New Laptop to Improve Zoom Teaching

    Funded Dec 17, 2020

Thank you for the gift of technology! This pandemic has been so challenging, and having a new, fast laptop to navigate Zoom has been incredibly helpful. This technology is helping my students watch educational videos and participate in interactive Nearpod lessons without being so glitchy.

This new laptop is helpful because it is larger, so I can more easily monitor all of the students and ensure they participate in their learning. The better technology has allowed me to download and run different programs as well.

When I return to school, I will share this laptop's use with our class in different ways. For example, I will hook this laptop to a projector to show my lessons. I enjoy finding different ways to engage kids in active participation through technology, using tools like Kahoot, Quizizz, and Nearpod.

Thank you for helping with our class needs!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Klopping

  • Picture This: Our Lives On Film!

    Funded Jan 9, 2012

Thank you for allowing me to utilize your email address last year to get funding for classroom supplies. My class was able to receive both a camera and a printer that I have used in many capacities since last year. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to meet you and work with your children.

I have used the camera to take pictures of the students during performances and field trips. I have taken individual photos of them to post on my door. They really enjoy looking at the pictures and it helps give them ownership of our class. I used the printer to print the pictures and various other parent correspondence. Thanks again for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Klopping

My students are eager first graders with a thirst for knowledge and a very inquisitive nature. They attend a low-income school with the majority of kids on free lunch. They are from very diverse ethnic backgrounds, including Asian, Armenian, black, white, Israeli, and Hispanic. Shockingly in this day and age, our school doesn't have a computer lab or much technology at all. We are in desperate need of these items.
