I teach in a class with 26 identified Gifted and Talented Students in the Greater Salt Lake City area. My students read books faster than you can imagine! They devour any book with dragons or cats, and particularly love Greek mythology inspired texts and graphic novels. This group of second-graders has an unwavering excitement for learning and greatly missed the classroom during last year's remote learning. At seven and eight years old, scholars are not only learning core content, but it especially important that they learn adequate social and emotional skills. I also hope to facilitate an environment where students feel their culture and heritage is acknowledged and celebrated.

About my class
