These NEW books will help my students reach and exceed grade level benchmarks in reading. Guided Reading is a small group VERY differentiated approach to teaching reading. Guided reading helps foster reading independence, higher comprehension levels, and fluency. These books will help close achievement gaps across different socio-economic groups, cultural backgrounds, and students dealing with language barriers. With these updated books, many of our Spanish speaking students will increase their vocabulary when reading the new nonfiction books! Kindergarten is a very important year for students to get immersed in a text rich environment. I would love these new book sets to help reach all of our students reach their own personal reading goal!
