My class is made up of eight wonderful Kindergarten-Second graders with Autism. Their strengths include: drawing, building, math, making their teachers smile and laugh, and reading (decoding). Although many of my students excel in word reading, and can read several grade levels above their grade, they have a difficult time understanding what they read.
