I teach fourth grade and have 24 students in my classroom. My school serves a population of 95% minority students who come to school almost every day (despite outside challenges) and are eager to learn. These students come from a very low socio-economic status and the majority receive free and/or reduced lunch meals. Therefore, it is my desire as their teacher and advocate to help them receive all the resources that can help them achieve academic success.
