  • Let the Creative Juice Flow with Magna-Tiles!

    Funded Dec 28, 2023

Thank you for believing in this project and making it into a reality. At first they didn't know what Magna Tiles were, but once they realized what it was they began owning it! Even without me telling them, they began working together with their peers, planning, collaborating and executing. It was so great to see and hear them. At first they wanted to build things they saw on the box and then expanded by looking up things on a web. Once they learned what they can do with the Magna Tiles, they went onto creating their own projects!

This was also a great team building time as students all worked together and became closer. It also motivated them to communicate, strategize and execute naturally which was so awesome to see. They can't wait to create more things with Magna Tiles. I noticed how some students showed more talent in architectural building than the other. I think we may have future architects. Thank you so much for your donation!”

  • Make Learning English Fun!

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you for your donation and support towards this project. My students and I decided to use the board games to make our Fun Friday time an even more fun one.

My students' faces brightened when they saw the board game boxes and couldn't stop talking and asking questions about where I got them from. I told them that there are people who understand and support their learning outside the school, and that they wish for them (my students) to have a fun school year while learning and working hard.

I hope to start here and build my board game library so I can use different board games to engage more students in learning, talking, strategizing, thinking, problem solving, collaborating, and more! Thank you again for your donation! I hope you have a fabulous new year!”

  • Catching and Keeping Memories of their Childhood

    Funded Aug 29, 2023

First and foremost, thank you for your thoughtful and generous donation towards the instant camera and films. My students, colleagues (teachers) and I have been capturing memories, putting together fun projects, and students have been able to take home those moments. Parents have been loving the photos, as well. Oh what fun, especially this time of the year! Thank you.

Moving into the new year, I am going to use the photos to create activities involving speaking and writing. Photos will help students, especially the newcomers open up and share the captured moments and experiences both orally and in writing.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the year 2023 and Happy New Year to you and your family! Thank you again for your support!”

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous donation towards the film sets! I can't wait to capture our students and their memories to share and remember.

These captured memories and events will encourage my English Language Learner (ELL) students to expand their English language by writing and discussing. I canNOT wait to see, hear and read their excitement. Thank you so much!”

  • Let's Encourage Student Creativity and Promote School Spirit!!!

    Funded Jan 27, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation. We are slowly and gradually learning how to brainstorm ideas, drawing our designs and using the Cricket to bring our ideas to life. This is new to all of us, but we are working together to become comfortable.

Kids didn't know what it was, many thought it was a laminating machine, which was very cute to see, but once they learned about it, they became more than excited to brainstorm ideas. We can't wait to share how we brought our ideas to reality.

Once again, thank you for your donations, warm thoughts and smiles you spread on my kids faces. :)”

  • Frozen First Grade Hands! Please Help Get Them Winter Gloves!!

    Funded Feb 2, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation towards warm gloves for our first grade students' cold hands this winter. Although spring seems to be on its way, we've still had cold days where kids appreciated the gloves very much and said the kids would be able to wear them next year, too. Thank you!

We did not receive all the gloves, but we still received about 72 pairs and those made students very excited. The parents were very appreciative of them as well. Thank you!

With the money left, I was able to purchase supplies for Cricut my students and I will be using to showcase our creativity. Kids will be very excited to have enough supplies to put their ideas into reality. Thank you.

We hope you have a wonderful rest of the year.”

  • Frozen Pre-K and K Hands! Please Help Get Them Mittens!!

    Funded Jan 27, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation. Your donation has warmed the little hands and big hearts of our students who are starting this academic journey with us at PS103. Even though it seems like spring is around the corner, winter doesn't seem to want to leave us yet. BUT! the mittens you provided have been keeping these little hands very warm and colorful, making the wait at dismissal a bit more fun and exciting.

Hopefully these mittens will last them the rest of this winter and then another winter so they can be reminded of the kind people like you.

Thank you again for sharing your resources with us. I hope you have a warm rest of the winter and a wonderful rest of the year 2022!”

  • Help Me Provide a Safe Learning Environment!

    Funded Dec 16, 2021

Your donation is making an impact. Thank you!

My students and I are making sure to stay safe by sanitizing our hands every time we enter and/or finish a task with the sanitizing wipes you provided. When students leave, I am able to sanitize surfaces and student supplies with the sanitizing spray you generous have given towards. We feel safer with the materials you have donated towards. Thank you so much!

Students love sanitizing their little hands with the wipes and enjoy learning on a clean desk. Thanks to you, we have one less thing to worry about.

As the number of COVID cases are on surge, we have to do our part to make sure we stay healthy and safe. Your donation toward cleaning items are making it possible. We will continue to do our part so that we keep numbers low while our learning on high. Stay safe and warm this winter!”

  • Printer Toner Is Low! Please Help!

    Funded Aug 13, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards the printer toner. Having enough printer toner opened the doors to additional instructional opportunities in my classroom. Thank you!

With your donation, I am now able to print various instructional pieces for my students to use and learn from. Having the toner allows a lesson, classwork and homework differentiation possible. As we are fortunate to have many online resources, I am able to take advantage of printable resources from printable books and follow up activity sheets on different levels, support materials for students' folder, desk and around the classroom. It also allows me to modify assignments for my students. Being able differentiate and modify student work encourages students to work at their level without getting frustrated or bored.

Thank you again for your donation and support in getting the printer toner! Each and every day we will get smarter and wiser!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. K.
