Help Special Ed Pre-k Create Art With Colorful Paper
Funded Aug 1, 2014Thank you again so much for funding our project Help Special Ed Pre-k Create Art With Colorful Paper. My students have been in heaven drawing, painting, dotting, and creating memorable art. The new construction paper is so colorful and it display very beautifully. The finger paint paper shows the paint off wonderfully. The manila paper is large and easy to work with. I am so happy to be able to give the students options. Not only do they have options of the type of paper they want to work with but they also have an option of sizes. The pictures with the beautiful colored paper has really added color to our classroom. My little students love looking and touching their displayed art.
I have to shout a huge THANK YOU again for the paper rolls for my bulletin boards. The colors are so vibrant. They really make the students work pop. The laminating pouches are so convenient. I am able to laminate their work so that it can last for a long time without fear of fading. I use art time to teach sharing, build language and to teach basic skills like color recognition. Now instead of asking my students do they want red, blue, yellow, I ask them if they want holiday red, sky blue, or gold. It so nice to be able to teach them that colors come in multiple shades. The students and I have been having a blast working with our treasured paper. Their work is so cute and they feel so proud when they complete a project. You are absolutely amazing for believing in my students and this project. Please know that without your generosity my students may have never been able to have these opportunities. Thank you for helping my student create with colorful paper.”

They are bright and colorful and they display many children who look like them. The best thing about the books is that they are child friendly and the stories are told in child friendly manner about how we are all different yet similar. The multicultural pictures are breath taking. The pictures of these beautiful children has really added color to our classroom. My little students love looking and touching them. We have discuss their faces, hair and clothes. In fact we have also compare how we dress to their clothing.
The computer is wonderful. We have discovered many children around the world with our new computer. We have looked at pictures of how other children in our world live and we examined the types of food they eat. We have even danced to the exotic music from different countries. I can not begin to explain how having a computer has improved the quality of education in our class. I have to shout a huge THANK YOU again. My students are now learning basic character education traits such as acceptance, differences and understanding.
My students loved working with one another as they completed their terrific art projects. Their masks are so cute. They loved making them and wearing them. The multicultural people was so fun the make. The students had a ball looking in a mirror and then finding the skin, hair, and clothes that was most like theirs. They really loved this project. You are absolutely amazing for believing in my students and this project. Please know that without your generosity my students may have never been able to have these opportunities. Thank you for helping my student learn that inside we are all alike and for placing the world at their fingertips.”

Funded Jun 21, 2013I am so grateful for your generous donation! The mobile bookshelf is helping my preschoolers with special needs learn how to care our books. Everyday they use the bookshelf to store and organize their favorite books. They love taking turns rolling the bookshelf to the center of the carpet or to the table so they can make a selection from our reading material. The bookshelf is very sturdy but it is so well built that it is easy to move and maneuver which is an added plus. The new bins are awesome. They are easy to open and close. The children are able to help take the books out of the bins independently. They are very roomy so all of our books now have a home. I now have the books sorted by genre and finding a specific book now is a snap. I am so grateful for these marvelous items in our classroom.
For young children with special needs, it's important for them to learn how to care for themselves and their possessions. Our school district budget cuts over the last few years, has made it difficult for teachers to get supplies for our classes that our students need. That's why I am repeatedly thanking you because without your incredible generosity and caring attitude towards children with disabilities, my students would not have been able to access these resources that they need to learn how to care for our treasured books and our books would not have a perfect spot in our classroom.
Thank you again on behalf of my students and myself!”

Sitting Pretty In Pre-K! Helping Kids With Special Needs!
Funded Aug 6, 2013Thank you, ever so much for your support of our Sitting Pretty in Pre-K Project. The students are now able to have a seat of their own every day. Your donation has made a big impact in my class. In the prior year, my students would fight over who go to sit in the cube chair and some days one or more children would be left sad and or crying because there were no seats left. Not anymore! There are now enough seats for everyone. The children love seating in their new seats. They help make sure that everyone has one. The children love stacking the chairs up at the end of the day. They are light weight and easy to maneuver so the feel strong and powerful when the arrange them. The students love the soft seats. During small group time the children can sit on the floor and complete puzzles on their cushy soft seats. I am also grateful for the teachers stool. I am able to sit at the student's level and we now have even more meaningful interactions during circle time. The added bonus is that the seat rolls and my non-ambulatory students can fully participate because I am able to bring circle time to them at their level. Thanks to you we are all sitting pretty and we love it. So I sincerely say thank you and your have made my class a place where every child has a place and a seat just for them.”

Funded Nov 27, 2012The new trikes are amazing and all of my preschoolers absolutely LOVE them. Everyday they are so excited to get on the trikes and zoom around the playground. My little 3 years old are over the moon to ride the trikes. The trikes are just the right size for them so now their feet reach the ground without difficulty. When they get on their new super shiny tricycles, their faces are filled with joy and concentration. They take trike riding seriously.
These trikes have already improved their lives. They are learning to steer and maneuver the tricycles. They are also learning how to scoot and balance their bodies. Beyond that, they are learning a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment as they go to their chosen destination.
Everyday there is a mad dash for the tricycles because all of my preschoolers want to get on the new tricycles first. I just stand back and watch them go. The tricycles have been beneficial to teaching my preschoolers how to take turns, and they are also learning to be patient. In addition, the trikes are teaching my preschoolers the good habit of exercise which is important for their future health. The tricycles are providing so many benefits to my preschoolers including social skills, motor development and language skills. Thank you so much for your kind generosity once again and know that your gift is giving my student the ability to zip around the playground.”

Funded Jan 22, 2013Thank you so much for funding my project. The children are really enjoying the new flipcharts, books and lively music. All of the materials has enriched my Circle Time and I am able to use the charts for small groups. The music is to familiar tunes and a few of my students have already learned a few songs. At times, I find them singing/humming the songs even when the music is not playing. The Alphabet flip chart is phenomenal. My students eyes stay glued to the charts when they are displayed and they love helping me find the letters on them. The letters are bright and glossy and they can be easily seen across the room which is a big plus since I have a large group of students. The new Nursery Rhyme Chart is a huge success. They finally have a visual to go with the rhymes that we hear every day and I have now incorporated the rhyme of the week into my circle time lesson so that my students can get repeated exposure to them. I can not wait until the new school year so I can begin the year using these awesome materials. The children absolutely love their new magic boards. They are trying to write their names and they are drawing pictures. They love to show off their work. They also love the new alphabet flip charts. These flipchart are very engaging. My students are able to touch the textured letters to feel how letters are formed. They are also able to trace the letters and the alphabet flip charts have a variety of pictures that the child are familiar with. I am using the charts to extend their expressive and receptive language. My favorite moment since the material arrived was watching one of my students lightly touching the flip charts when they thought I was not aware. Thank You again for your donations.”

Funded Sep 30, 2012Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! We have received the Pretend and Play Combo Kitchen, the Kitchen Playset and the food and they are AMAZING!!! The children love using the pots and pans on the stove and they are cooking gourmet meals. They love setting the table and pretending to eat the food. They are talking more and saying new words every day. If you could hear the increase language you would smile with joy.
This beautiful piece of furniture is a great addition to our classroom. It helps organize and divide the room beautifully in a kid friendly manner. My students with autism often have difficulty sharing but with peer modeling, they have begun to play alongside their peers with some interaction which is a wonderful sight to see.

Funded Mar 13, 2012THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATION
This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The math manipulative's that you donated has helped my students' in many ways. We are using our math center materials every single day to count to 20, trace numbers, sort colors, and stamp numbers. The students are also using the large magnetic numbers as models to write numbers. The students are excited each day because there is now a variety of material to choose from and I rotate the materials weekly. My more advanced students really enjoy the counting card. They love to match the numbers to the card. Our new math puzzles are a big hit. My preschoolers are counting the objects as they are connecting the pieces together. The best thing is there is enough to go around so that every student is able to complete a puzzle at the same time. Our new math center has everything my students need for hands on learning where they can explore their world of numbers.
Our school is currently facing a budget crisis, so without your generous, most appreciated help, my students would never had the opportunity to receive these resources. For preschool students, it is important that they have a strong foundation in mathematics. Beginning learners need to know number concepts and operations, classification and spatial relations. The materials are also durable so many more preschool students will benefit from your most appreciated donation. Also, all of my students families were thrilled to find out that the materials were funded. Thank you can never truly express my gratefulness.”
