Super Bright Paper for Preschoolers!
Funded Sep 19, 2024Thank you again so much for funding our project Super Bright Paper for Preschoolers. When the box arrived all my students were very curious of what was inside the heavy box, so I immediately let them pick a color and draw pictures on. I have to say that they have been in heaven drawing, painting, dotting, and creating memorable art. The new construction paper is so colorful and it displays very beautifully.
I use art time to teach sharing, build language , working independently and to teach basic skills like color recognition. Now instead of asking my students do they want red, blue, yellow, I ask them if they want holiday red, sky blue, or gold. It's so nice to be able to teach them that colors come in multiple shades. The students and I have been having a blast working with our treasured paper. Their work is so cute and they feel so proud when they complete a project. You are absolutely amazing for believing in my students and this project. Please know that without your generosity my students may have never been able to have these opportunities. Thank you for helping my student create with colorful paper.”

Funded Mar 13, 2023Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom and for funding our project Calming Area. My students loved the beautiful cube from the moment they arrived. The library is a well loved center that is next to the calming area so the cube is new class favorite. It is awesome this area that my students can go to when they need a minute to themselves.
I have placed. Few friends in the calming area as sources of additional comfort and I am happy to share that my students use them when they need a hug.
Many of my students are non verbal so they can't tell me how they are feeling. Now they have this safe space that is child size and friendly. Thank you so much for bringing this peace to my class. It also allowed them to be in tuned with their thoughts and emotions.
I am looking forward to adding new friends, posters and calming toys to this center in the fall. Thank you again so much for your understanding and support. It's heartfelt.”

Making Social-Emotional Learning Fun!
Funded Sep 7, 2022Thank you for supporting our project Making Social Emotional Learning Fun for my amazing students! They love, love, love the stories and the storytelling kits. When the book and storytelling kits are on the table they all want to get their hands on the storytelling kits. The material is so soft and the pictures are very vibrant. My energetic, enthusiastic are completely motivated . They listen to the story, take turns with the kits and use the soft cotton pieces to retell the story. They are not only learning social emotional skills, but they are learning how to take care of classroom material because they do not want to get dirty.
My students have a unique variety of abilities, interests, and learning styles. In preschool, it is developmentally appropriate to have lessons where they have opportunities to interact hands-on and develop their own creativity. These kits are so wonderful. They are amazing tools that teaches kindness, diversity, and self awareness. We have talked about how everyone is welcome and the importance of treating each other with love and respect.
I am so happy to have these wonderful social emotional match up puzzles as part of my students social emotional learning. I have already seen my student manage their own emotions better and they are beginning to show empathy for one another. The scenarios on the puzzles are so easy for my students to understand and the positive outcomes teaches them how to make good choices. Thank you again for helping me Make Social-Emotional Learning Fun.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Valhalla Foundation.Paper Please!!!
Funded Sep 7, 2022Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom and for funding our project Paper Please. My students have been using the new materials from the moment they arrived. They were so excited to see all the new colors and sizes. Art is the current class favorite. It is awesome that they have a variety of colors to choose from when they are creating their masterpieces. When they are being creative they are communicating with each other, learning their colors and making decisions. In addition they are sharing, trading ideas and they are developing the small muscles in their fingers as they tear and cut. We are all in love with the beautiful colorful construction paper. It is so bright and cheerful. It makes their projects pop and we now have colors that our school does not supply like magenta, royal blue and lilac.
The chart paper helps them to engage in the activities and answer the question of the day at their level. It also allowed them to express their thoughts through written form and they glow as they get positive recognition for their efforts. Using the chart paper in this manner helps them to develop critical thinking skills.
Thank you again so much for helping me give my amazing preschoolers have beautiful paper and chart paper. Your support is heartfelt.”

Funded Jan 18, 2022Thank you again so much for funding our project. We have had an exciting time exploring all our new options. The tape measures, safety goggles and flashlights really transformed our Home Center. In fact it was renamed the Construction Zone. The class favorite, hands down is the flashlights. They had so much fun finding small nooks to light up. We had a few flashlight days where they searched for different items in our classroom. The students have had measured every surface in the classroom and more toys than I can name. The safety goggles are sturdy and clear and great for dramatic play. They also are very easy to adjust the size so they fit the student's heads well.
The Blocks Blueprint Learning Center is a wonderful product. It has really helped with spatial reasoning. The blueprints are easy to follow and are a great starting point for sparking the little architect's creative minds. It has been a great introduction to architecture and building structures. It also sparked conversations about buildings are height and width. These blocks have also inspired new creations with other manipulatives.
My students also absolutely love the I Can Build It Construction Planks. They are so light and easy to use. I have notice how my students are building new vocabulary while totally engaged. They are recognizing the letters on the cards. I have used this center during math instruction where they build the picture and then have to count how many planks they used.
Thanks again ever so much. Your kindness will never be forgotten.”

Funded Jan 14, 2022Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. My students have been using the new materials from the moment they arrived. They couldn't wait to play with the Blocks Blueprint Learning Center. It has really helped with spatial reasoning. The blueprints are easy to follow and are a great starting point for sparking the little architect's creative minds. It has been a great introduction to architecture and building structures. It also sparked conversations about buildings are height and width.
My students are working together to figure out how to recreate the pictures in the blueprint design. These blocks have also inspired new creations with other manipulatives. I love how there's a range of levels to challenge students as they master one level and before moving onto the next level. The picture directions inspire the kids and help them focus on following directions. They are staying engaged and are having so much fun. I am so happy that we have the extra blocks, so multiple students could use it at the same time.

Funded Aug 13, 2021I want to say "thank you" for the soft blocks, people and animals for my preschoolers. My little learners were so excited when we opened the boxes together that they were in awe as each new item was revealed. They helped me find a space for our new learning materials. The soft blocks are so wonderful for my students with sound sensitivities. I no longer see them constantly covering their ears when blocks fall. Especially now, because of Covid, our classroom rugs were discarded so our floors do not have anything to help absorb the sound of falling blocks.
The blocks were and are a big hit. We have learning centers every day and when I ask "what center do you want to play at?", my little learners always choose the block center first. They really enjoy creating towers, making roads, bridges, buildings and creating engineering coups that I didn't even know were possible. It is so wonderful to see how they learn from each other.
The blocks and supplemental items that you funded will allow my students to have hours of fun, open ended, and a wonderful time learning. I cannot fully express my joy, excitement, and thanks for your kind donations to my project. It is so wonderful to see that others understand how young children learn. Thank you again for helping me give my little learners soft blocks for their sensitive ears.”

Funded Oct 1, 2020Thank you All so much for your support of Little Packs for Little Backs. When the box arrived, I opened the box during our morning zoom meeting and the kids were SO excited to see it open to see what surprises it held. The children loved all of the backpacks and they w excited that they would get their very own. There were smiles EVERYWHERE!
We have been using the backpacks daily. They included so many wonderful tools that has help our zoom meetings tremendously. We have sorted the bears. We used the ball during Adapted Physical Education for rolling and catching. We have played find the letter game with the alphabet cards. We have built amazing structures with our Slot Shapes. The material inside the backpacks are providing my students with wonderful resources that are easy for them and their parents to keep track of. At the end of our zoom meetings we practice the students putting away material and zipping up their backpacks. We would like to give a special shout out to Kleenex. Companies, such as yourself, make a huge difference in the lives of children who go without a lot of the "basics" that they need on a regular basis.
So, thank you again and again for providing my class of Pre-Kindergarten students with educational backpacks to use during zoom. My students now have a wonderful pack for their little backs.”

Funded Dec 11, 2019My students and I truly appreciate and thank you for supporting our class. We hope you enjoyed seeing the photos. My students were so excited and happy to have currently technology. As you can guess, we are adjusting to distant learning and how I wish I had a device for each of my students.
My students loved the apps that I was able to put on the iPads. They were learning to trace their names, find shapes, colors and letters. They were learning to work in pairs and communicate their ideas. They were learning to sort and classify. They were really learning how to learn independently.
I will be so happy and excited when we are able to learn face to face again. Right now we are zooming. Singing, talking and laughing. The iPads will always be a positive work tool for my preschoolers and we can't wait to be together again. Stay safe.”
