My vision for the classroom is to create a learning environment that motivates students to collaborate with each other on challenging and rigorous work. Students work best when they feel comfortable in choosing their seating style and learning pathway. It is all about creating a personalized learning environment for them to flourish. By supporting the flex seating classroom (Bean bags, wobble chairs, lap desks) and providing our students with a class set of headphones, you are giving these children a rich and purposeful learning EXPERIENCE. These flex seating materials will be incorporated throughout the classroom. Students will be able to choose their preferred seating while working on balanced literacy station rotations. Also, each student will be able to use their district assigned tablet with audio. Audio had to be muted or turned onto a very low setting due to lack of headphones, but now, students will be given the opportunity to listen to their online resources that explain mini lessons before and after every skill they practice and also provide guided audio support for struggling readers.
