  • Hygeine Helpers Restock

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity. I'm so excited to have been able to restock my classroom hygiene cabinet with much needed items. My students were so excited when they saw how full the shelves were. When they learned they could easily "purchase" items with points they earn during the day, they were beside themselves, talking about what they would buy first. The lotion was an especially hot ticket item! The girls were especially excited to have access to pads, as well, and having them visible to all in the cabinet has definitely normalized periods to the whole class, something I strive to do every year.

Thank you again for your donation. It is truly appreciated.”

  • Winter Weather Wear

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you so very much for your generous donations to this project. My students have really benefitted from having these items available, especially as the weather is beginning to turn colder.

The hoodies, hats and gloves have been making regular appearances during our recess block, helping combat the recent blustery fall days. Students have really loved being able to choose a water bottle in their favorite color and have been decorating them with a variety of stickers. They love having different flavors of lip balm to use, as well.

Again, thank you so much for helping to provide my class with these necessities.”

  • Spreading Kindness with Book Buddies

    Funded Jul 28, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to "Spreading Kindness with Book Buddies" and helping me to provide materials and activities for our book buddies to use and complete together. My fifth grade students have had the opportunity to meet with their first grade book buddies on a few occasions so far this year.

The buddied pairs were able to spend some time getting to know one another while designing bookmarks and tote bags to hold the texts they plan to read together. They loved being creative together and learned about each other, beginning the journey into our year long goal of building positive peer/mentor relationships between the students.

In the upcoming weeks we will begin reading "A Little Spot of Kindness" and the buddies will work together to plan ways to spread kindness school-wide. We are all so excited to do this and and have donors like you to thank for giving us the opportunity to make it happen.”

  • Hygiene Helpers

    Funded Mar 31, 2024

Thank you so very much for generously donating to make my "Hygeine Helpers" project a reality. The students were so excited to see all of the items we received and were able to "shop" for some much needed supplies. It was so nice to watch my fifth graders decide which items they wanted and/or needed and to see how they helped classmates pick things out as well. It definitely is filling an often neglected need for my students and is helping to build self confidence and an interest in consistent hygiene care. Thank you again for helping me make these items available in my classroom.”

  • Dressed for Success

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations to help me get white polo shirts, navy blue sweatpants and blue and grey hoodies for my students to replace worn and too-small school uniforms. The students and I were so excited to open the boxes and unpack so many brand new articles of clothing.

It is so clear how proud my fifth graders are walking around in their brand new uniforms. Many have complemented each other on how good they all look, which is truly heartwarming. We even had enough to offer uniforms to students in need from other 5th grade classes and still have plenty left to help get us through the remaining 5five month of school.

Thank you again for helping my students to not only look great but to feel great, as well. This has had such a large impact on all of them and their confidence levels.”

  • Comfy Carpets for Class

    Funded Aug 7, 2023

Thank you so very much for donating to help me get new rugs and bulletin board supplies for my classroom. I am so grateful for your support. Our new rugs look fantastic in our classroom and the students love having a variety of places to sit in the classroom. Each rug has allowed me to create 3 distinct areas for students to have space to work and meet with peers or teachers during class time.

The bulletin board materials have also added to the overall aesthetic of our classroom. The students love looking at new items that are hung up throughout each month and the heavy duty paper will last the entire year.

Thanks again for all of your help with this project!”

  • Storage Solution

    Funded Jul 25, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to support this project. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. The storage items that my class received have definitely been so helpful in keeping math materials organized and easily accessible. The students love being able to quickly grab the items they need at the start of each class. The file boxes help us keep materials organized by class (I teach three different blocks of students) and by table. The students are able to quickly grab their color coded folder and use it to not only store loose math pages, but they are also able to fir their workbooks in them, as well.

These items have really helped to improve our transition times, so we have fewer minutes of wasted time getting things organized that we can now add to our learning time. Thanks you again for helping us to achieve this!”

  • Lanyards for Fifth

    Funded Jul 25, 2023

Thank you so much for generously donating to this project and helping to get lanyards and ID holders for our entire 5th grade population. The lanyards have been a BIG hit with the students. They were so excited to be able to choose a lanyard that matched their interests and personalities during the first week of school.

We have been using the lanyards consistently since the school year began as a way for students to carry their lunch ID cards with them, without the worry of losing them at recess or in another classroom when we change for each subject.

Thank you again for helping us to get these lanyards for our students. They have definitely had an impact on our students and their ability to keep better track of their IDs.”

  • Bins for Books

    Funded Jul 18, 2023

Thank you again for your generous donations toward this project. We received the book bins and sticky notes just in time for the start of the school year and they have been such a HUGE help. My students have been getting great use out of the bins and love how colorful they are. Each student had the opportunity to choose a bin from the four different colors they came in: green, red, purple or yellow. They were so excited to be able to choose the color they liked best. They are able to store all of their reading books in the bins which has definitely helped cut down on damaged texts in our classroom library. They are also using them to store their personal SEL journals and their intervention folders. This has really made locating items so much easier and has improved the time needed for class transitions. The colorful sticky notes have been great to use during our math classes. They have given students larger areas to show work than a traditional sticky note. Students are able to display their work by hanging the sticky notes on classroom walls and charts, as well. Thank you for supporting my classroom.”

  • Recess Rescue

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to help our class get a collection of board games to use during indoor recess times. The students said that they are so excited to play familiar games that they haven't had the chance to play in a while, like Life, Sorry and Don't Break the Ice.

They are especially looking forward to learning how to play games like Perfection, Hungry Hungry Hippos and Kerplunk. They also just recently learned how to play Clue and are thrilled that we now have a second copy of it so more students can play.

Our entire class is so grateful to have these games to keep us busy on the days when it is too cold or snowy to go outside to play. Thank you again for supporting our project.”
