iPads for Kindergarten

Thank you so much for your donations! With this extra Ipad in the classroom, I was able to support the students in using their Technology programs. For example, the student use three online programs: IReady, Imagine Literacy and Imagine Math. They use this during there centers time and for testing days.
The students enjoyed having an extra IPad in the classroom. Since my students were Kindergarten level they liked the Ipad more than the laptops we had on the computer because they couldn't manipulate the trackpad.
I had a student who in particular preferred this means over the laptop and he was able to complete the required work through the Ipad.
It was very much used last school year and the students were so excited when we received the iPad.”

I teach to a high needs population, children that come from all walks of life. I want them to come into the classroom and feel like this is something different and feel safe and loved at school. There are plenty of students who have trouble focusing and I believe that flexible seating will help the students focus and have fun at the same time. I already let my students choose how they want to learn whether in a chair or on the carpet or a beach chair. I want to give my student's endless opportunities to learn. Especially at a Title 1 school, I want to give them all the opportunities to enjoy learning as much as they can! Ultimately, sharing these spaces and learning to communicate in the classroom helps with social-emotional skills that they need to practice.
