My substantially separate special education students have many learning disabilities. Many of these students have very poor reading and writing skills and many do not have a sense of geography. However, they are able to express their ideas while speaking and through visual images. It is difficult to severe all their needs in an inner city public school classroom especially when budgets are constantly being cut and resources are scarce.
