I serve preschool children, ages 3-5, in a low income, urban elementary school. They are energetic, sweet and eager to learn. My therapy focuses on expanding their knowledge of the world around them by exploring vocabulary by using a "word/category of the day". It would be beneficial to provide these young students with real life pictures accompanied by animations and sounds, linked with related activities for them to apply their newfound skills through the use of a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. The materials I currently rely on are 2 dimensional, archaic picture cards that have "felt the love" throughout the years, as well as black and white photocopied worksheets.
