Engaging Chapter books
Funded Feb 1, 2023Getting new chapter books had a significant positive impact on my 6th-grade students. The new books provided students with fresh content, exciting characters, and engaging storylines, making them more interested and engaged in reading. When students had access to a variety of books, they were able to explore different genres and styles of writing, expanding their knowledge and helping them discover new interests. Additionally, the new chapter books helped foster a love for reading, encouraging students to spend more time with books outside of the classroom. By providing students with new and diverse books, I was able to promote reading fluency, comprehension, and critical thinking skills, all of which could help improve their academic performance and lifelong success.”

ELA Games to Strengthen Vocabulary and Spelling Skills
Funded Nov 11, 2021Wow! It is with sincere and overwhelming gratitude that I am writing this letter.
It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give toward "ELA Games to Strengthen Vocabulary and Spelling Skills"! I cannot begin to tell you how excited my students have been to discover and play new games. They love the interactions with friends, while reinforcing and practicing reading and grammar skills. When the opportunity arises and I let them know that they can choose a game to play, I always hear several students say, "Yes!!". My goal this year is to make ELA meaningful and fun, and these games are a great way to start.
We are so grateful for donors like YOU who help provide our classroom with the things we need to succeed and make our sixth grade year the best ever!”

Basic Supplies and Needs
Funded Sep 17, 2021It is with extreme appreciation and gratitude that I am writing this note to thank you all for your generosity for funding our project for classroom supplies. We use these supplies each and every day. Your donation has helped students without classroom necessities have their own supplies. This sets students up for success in their learning when they have the things that they need.
All of this is possible because of your generous donations. I cannot thank you enough for your support. It has made such a positive impact on my classroom and students.”

Art Supplies for Creativity and Calming
Funded Oct 26, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations that helped fund my project for art supplies. My students were thrilled to get new, fresh art supplies. We often draw and color as a calming strategy, and new markers and colored pencils are fantastic to use! We were using coloring supplies that had been used by several previous years of students so it was nice to move on from the "hand-me-down" supplies.
Additionally, we have already used our creativity and new supplies to make cards to celebrate and thank our local veterans for Veteran's Day.
Thank you for your kind and generous donations! We are very appreciative!”

Graphic Novels Pique Reading Interest
Funded Sep 17, 2021Thank you so much for your very generous donations that funded my project! The students were so excited when I told them that our project was funded for our graphic novels and were ecstatic when I opened the boxes and showed them our new books. My students couldn't get their hands on the books fast enough. They are definitely a well-loved addition to our classroom library and have quickly become the most "checked-out books". These books have truly developed a love for reading for many of my resistant and/or struggling readers.
Thank you for your kind and generous donations! We are very appreciative!”

Hands on Math & Time Management
Funded Sep 17, 2021It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and generosity to give toward "Hands on Math & Time Management". With this project, I was able to receive a large, magnetic digital timer that helps my students, and myself, manage our learning time. This has been an incredible help with behavior and classroom management. Additionally, we received manipulatives that will help us calculate surface area by using the foldable geometric shapes to help us see all of the surfaces of the 3-D shapes. I cannot wait to teach this math unit and I am confident that students will do well because of the hands-on manipulatives.
Thank you again for supporting my passion for teaching and changing the lives of my students every time you donate to one of my projects. I am beyond blessed.”

The Magical Carpet Ride to Effective Communication
Funded Nov 23, 2020Thank you so much for funding my project for a classroom rug and easel! My students are still virtual, so we have not had a chance to use the materials yet. However, I am so excited to be able to use the rug and easel next year.
Daily read-alouds are so important for students, even sixth grade students! We will be using the rug each morning during our morning meeting; this is when we share good news, read together, and go over our daily schedule. The easel will be handy during times when we are doing character trait studies, themes, key ideas, etc.
Although I will not be able to use the rug and easel with my students this year, I know my students next year will be very excited to walk in and see the colorful, bright rug. I look forward to setting up these materials in our classroom and know it will bring a larger sense of community into our home away from home.”
