  • Books That Represent Diverse Lives, Cultures, and Ethnicities.

    Thank you for contributing to my project that brought books that represent diverse lives, cultures, and ethnicities into our classroom. Your contribution helped bring 10 books to my classroom.

    With your help previously, I was able to create a small reading and calming corner in our classroom, and it has been a success! Our students finally have a place to read and de-stress. Now, They have several new books they can access at any time. They have access to books that include writers and fictional characters with a variety of backgrounds, beliefs, and life circumstances.

    With your help, my students will find both windows and mirrors in the library. Thank you for supporting my goal of giving my students books that reflect their lives, and books that give them insight into the lives and experiences of people who aren't like them.”

  • Reading and Enjoying it!

    Thank you for all your help. With your help, I was able to provide my students with a designated space where they can relax, be calm, and be stress-free. With your help, I was able to provide my students with an area that will allow their minds to grow and their hearts to feel at ease.

    My students who already loved reading naturally gravitated to this space and began reading on a more consistent basis. For my other students, they felt better getting out of their comfort zone and they all pushed themselves to read for pleasure.

    I am endlessly grateful for all of your help. I would not have been able to create this space without your help.

    I will now focus on getting more books that all my students will feel comfortable reading.”
