  • Kinder Coding

    Funded Mar 24, 2018

I want to thank all who took the time to donate and make this project possible. Thank you to Verizon for matching all donations made to this project. My kindergarten kiddos had so much fun using the Code and Go Mouse. They had that little mouse moving all around the technology lab. One kiddo even programmed the mouse to go out of the lab and down the hall to their sisters class. They are already talking about and planning what they are going to have the mouse do next.

I am beyond great full for all of the support. Thank you for showing my kiddos that there is still kindness in the world.”

  • Hands-On Coding for Hands-On Learners

    Funded Mar 24, 2018

Thank you to all that donated and helped to make this project happen for my kiddos. Thank you to Verizon for matching all donations made on this project. The pure joy on my kiddos faces warmed my teacher heart. Watching students who generally have trouble and get discouraged interact with each other and be successful was amazing for them and for me. After we connected the iPad to the Oslo base I explained how to use the connecting blocks to move the digital creature through the maze and my kiddos were off and running. I am very great full that I can now reach all of my learners.

Thank you for showing my kiddos that there is still kindness in the world.”

  • Germs Germs Stay Away

    Funded Mar 24, 2018

A huge thank you to all who donated and made this project possible. I also want to thank salesforce.org for matching all donations for this project. My kiddos were so excited when we opened the box and they saw all the tissues and Clorox wipes. They could not wait to get rid of all those pesky germs. I have never had so many kiddos excited and eager to clean their computer area. They were also so amazed at all the supplies that were donated to them by complete strangers. I had one kiddo tell me that it was so nice that those people wanted to help us. Once again I appreciate the generosity of all those who gave to this project, you are not only helping us stay healthy you are helping me teach my kiddos to give back.

Thank you again for showing my kiddos that there is till kindness in the world .”

  • Kids Love Coding

    Funded Mar 24, 2018

Thank you to all who supported this project and helped bring it to life. I also want to thank Verizon for matching all offers made to this project. The looks of pure joy on my kiddos faces when we opened the box and took out Botley the coding robot. They wanted to get right to coding and see all the wonderful things Botley was capable of doing. I had several kiddos in one class who do not always work well together, when I turned around they were working together moving chairs around creating a maze for Botley to travel through . I am very thankful and appreciate all those who help and support my kiddos.

Thank you again for showing my kiddos that there is still kindness in the world.”

  • Keep Calm and Code On

    Funded Mar 13, 2018

I wanted to take this time to thank all of you who helped make this project possible. My kiddos faces were priceless when we opened the box and out came Dash the robot, and a Kindle. They loved how Dash would turn his head toward them when they made a sound. I had a kindergarten special needs student who rarely participates or interacts with others but she was clapping away to get Dash to turn towards her. My 1st graders also love Dash and they are busy planing away all the adventures that Dash will by having. I also want to thank Verizon for matching offers if it was not for the match offer from Verizon this would not have been funded so quickly.

Thank you again to everyone involved in making it possible for my kiddos to explore coding with Dash the Robot.”

  • Save As.....

    Funded Mar 6, 2018

Thank you very much to all who donated and thanks to Verizon for matching offers. The computers we have do not allow students to save their work but now they will be able to use the flash drives to save their work. When we opened the box my students were beyond excited to see the flash drives. Now my students will not only be able to save their work but they will be able to show their parents what they are working on during conferences. They will also be able to use the flash drives to save work they are doing in their other classes and continue working on in the technological lab.

Once again thank you for showing my students kindness”

  • Every Thing is Better in COLOR

    Funded Feb 12, 2018

I just want to thank everyone who donated and made it possible for this project to be funded. I can not begin to tell you how excited my kiddos were when they watched me open the box and see me pull out the color printer.

They are beyond excited to be able to print their projects in color. They have recently started using various programs to create art work to go along with their writing, up till now they have not been able to print their work in color . I can not tell you how excited they are to print hotter work in color. The look on their faces when they printed out their work and it was in color and looked exactly like it did on the screen was priceless.

Thank you all again for bringing color to our classroom. Your kindness is very much appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Faust

  • Can You Hear Me Now?

    Funded Oct 14, 2017

I just wanted to thank everyone that donated to this project and made it possible. My students were so excited when I surprised them with the headphones and couldn't wait to use them. The headphones have made such a difference in the technology lab you can't even imagine. Before it was a very loud and noisy place with 30 students all on different activities trying to hear and focus.

I have many students who were unable to focus on their activity because they could hear others activities. But now the room is a quite place where the students are able to hear and focus on their activity. They have also put huge smiles on the students who before this didn't have headphones because their families just couldn't afford to buy them. My students have also learned a lesson about kindness. When I showed them the headphones they automatically thought I bought them since I buy most things for the room. But I explained to them that a group of people who have never met them heard they need headphones and wanted to help them get headphones. Since then I noticed s handful of students being a little kinder than before. One came to me and told me they shared their snack because so and so didn't have any.

The headphones have also made a huge difference with my special needs students, some of whom couldn't handle all the different sounds coming from 30 computers. They are also helping my lower level students because now their friends don't hear that they are working letter sounds when others are reading.

Thank you all again for all your help.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Faust
