  • The Right Tools for Scholars

    Funded Feb 5, 2025

Thank you so much for your kind donation. The pencils requested will help many students who struggle with penmanship. The pen is designed to sit comfortably in the palm of students that have a difficult time grasping a regular pencil. Once again, thank you so much for your contribution and making a difference with my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Isidoro Ortiz

  • Students Practice Math Proficiency!

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

I'm so grateful for the math materials. As you know, our community lacks supplies, and these items have made a big difference. The items came just in time for our fraction math unit. The items help support the small groups students participate in once a week to practice their math skills.

The fraction kits were especially helpful since they allowed my students to see and maneuver fractional tiles visually. This helped students find equal fractions, thus building their conceptual understanding of fractions.

    Thank you once again.”

    With gratitude,

  • Student Scientists Investigating!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

I appreciate your effort to provide my students with scientific experiences. The requested items were plastic containers, balloons, toasters, and an electric kettle. My students were very excited to learn that we had received our thermal energy science unit supplies.

These items will allow students to study how molecules move faster in hot water than in cold water. Also, students will see heat transfer occur with toasted bread and butter using the toasters.

Your donations are making a difference in my students' lives. Thank you for your ability to see the need in my community.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Isidoro Ortiz

  • Rewards for Scholars

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you for your donations. We have received the requested items: inflatable balloons and electrical air pumps. Some of the inflatables included fun items such as microphones and lightsabers.

Every month, the 6th-grade teachers combine our forces to prepare events for students to earn fun rewards based on their effort and academic accomplishments. My students were delighted to be rewarded with these simple items.

I want to once again extend my gratitude towards your generosity and vision for my students and many more.”

    With gratitude,

  • Whiteboards for Collaborative Learning

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for your generous donation of the individual whiteboards to our classroom. In a school where resources are often limited, your support has provided us with a valuable tool that enhances learning, encourages interaction, and helps bring lessons to life.

My students will be excited to use the whiteboards during lessons, and I can already see the positive impact on their engagement and participation. Thank you again for your incredible generosity on behalf of my students.”

  • Standing and Learning Scholars!

    Funded May 14, 2024

As a teacher in a community with limited resources, I can't express enough how much your generosity means to our students. Your donation of extension cords has been a lifeline, allowing them to charge their devices and stay connected to their lessons. The festive treats you've provided have brought so much joy during special occasions, helping create a sense of celebration and belonging.

Perhaps most importantly, your support in rewarding students for their hard work in math practice has been a powerful motivator. It encourages them to keep pushing forward, even when the challenges feel overwhelming. Your kindness is truly making a difference in their lives, not only in their education but in their overall sense of hope and community.

Thank you for helping make our classroom a place of opportunity and encouragement.”

  • Standing and Learning Scholars!

    Funded Aug 30, 2024

On behalf of my students, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of the standing desks and high stools. Your contribution has truly transformed our classroom environment.

With the new flex seating, students can choose their preferred learning posture. They can stand for a better view of the whiteboard or sit comfortably on the stools. This flexibility helps them stay engaged and focused while also promoting better posture and movement throughout the day.

We are incredibly grateful for your thoughtful donation and its positive impact on our classroom.”

The requested materials will help my students in various ways. For example, art projects will be used to help build group and classroom relationships. This will help solidify a positive classroom environment by completing social and emotional skills activities and assignments, such as compliment letters/posters of their peers, analyzing facial expressions exercises, and self-reflective behavior writing. In addition, students will be able to access basic supplies necessary to organize their projects and assignments for the academic year. This will also enable students to learn how to keep a portfolio on their social and emotional development through printed assignments organized in pocket folders.
