Literacy Centers for Bilingual 4th Grade!
Funded Jul 25, 2011Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom! They have really helped our class stay organized, and therefore saves us time for learning.
Our writing folders have already come in handy several times as we completed our first trimester writing assignments. My students were able to use them to keep their Spanish writing products organized, and to help improve their English writing. It helped them see each step of the writing process clearly delineated. Many of them told me the editing tips and commonly misspelled words helped them create more polished final drafts, too.
The all-purpose teacher's organizer has also been a great way for me to keep student work and records organized, which in turn helps me track student progress and design more effective instruction.
Thanks again for your generous donation!”

Alphabet Tubs for Bilingual Kindergarten!
Funded Sep 19, 2010Thank you all SO MUCH for donating to our project. Some of my students come into school already behind their peers in crucial pre-reading skills like vocabulary and phonological awareness, and tools like these alphabet tubs give them a fun way to experiment with sounds and letters.
As soon as the supplies arrived, my students started asking me constantly when they were going to get to use them. This last week, when we started learning the sounds that correspond to each letter, we were finally able to use them. My students love being able to sort the different items by sound during our centers time, and it helps them to differentiate between tricky vowel and consonant sounds.
So thank you again. I'm convinced these will be important tools in turning my students into strong readers and writers.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Ingerson
