Dance Uniform!
Funded May 7, 2022I can't thank you enough for your generous donation for my dance team and program. Because of your generosity, we were able to costume all 19 students for our performance this past weekend in Brooklyn at Borough Hall. In addition to costuming the students, I was able to give each student a new leotard and dance tights (dance uniform). Pictures are all below.
These donations have greatly impacted my dancers as they now feel and look like a team. Having these new costumes and dance wear has not only boosted their confidence, but has strengthened our bond as a team. This is so important because this is our first ever dance team.
I am extremely grateful for your kindness and support for my students. Please email me your address so I can send hand-written thank you cards from our dance team. My email address is Infranco.alyssa@gmail.com.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Infranco
Every Dancer Needs a Leotard!
Funded Jan 21, 2022Thank you so much for all of your generous donations! My dancers were so excited to see all of the donated shoes and leotards. My students have never had their own pair of dance shoes or dance clothes, let alone, have taken a dance class. They were so excited to have their own, brand new shoes and leotards. I wish I could have captured the look on their faces- they had no idea this was coming and were almost in tears.
My students will use the shoes to learn about tap and Jazz Dance and feel like a real team with leotards and tights. We are currently working on our tap dance for the Brooklyn District 18 Dance Show in June. Thank you again for your generous contributions for my dance program and for my students!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Infranco
This classroom project was brought to life by A New York City Parent and 5 other donors.Dance Matters!
Funded Dec 30, 2021Thank you so much for all of your generous donations! My dancers were so excited to see all of the donated Jazz Dance shoes. My students have never had their own pair of dance shoes, let alone, have taken a dance class. They were so excited to have their own, brand new shoes. I wish I could have captured the look on their faces- they had no idea this was coming and were almost in tears. Now, each student has a pair of Jazz shoes in a ziplock baggie with their name on it. These dance shoes live in my dance room in a cubby labeled "Dance Team."
My students will use the shoes to learn about Jazz Dance and perform a Jazz Dance at the Brooklyn District 18 Dance Show in June. Thank you again for your generous contributions for my dance program and for my students!”
With gratitude,
