  • Help Give My Students Supplies!

    Funded Feb 15, 2025

Thank you for your generous donation. Because of you, my students will now know what time it is and be able to carry out science experiments. Your impact will last for years as I can reuse these supplies for future students. Again, thank you very much for helping find this project.”

    With gratitude,

  • Materials for Science Class!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

This project has made the biggest impact on my students. Students started out the year trepid, but thanks to supplies from donors like you they have grown as students!

My students tape their important papers into their notebook and having 150 students and lots of paper to tape in means that my students go through lots of tape. And I keep getting new students so knowing I have supplies to get them set up instantly is really helpful. My 7th graders finished up a unit on fossils and there isn't quite anything like digging one out of a rock. The astrobrights (cardstock) give projects an air of importance to them, because they are done on heavy and bright colored paper. The most popular item has been the stickers. Students got to pick one up after finishing their test and the meme stickers were the most popular. The candy goes into my prize bin, and students consistently tell me that I have the best items in the prize bin, all because of you!

Thank you for supporting my students by making my classroom a place where they don't have to worry about not having enough supplies and knowing that what they do have will allow them to become blossoming scientists.”

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

This project has made the biggest impact on my students. Students started out the year trepid, but thanks to supplies from donors like you they have grown as students!

My students tape their important papers into their notebook and having 150 students and lots of paper to tape in means that my students go through lots of tape. And I keep getting new students so knowing I have supplies to get them set up instantly is really helpful. I use the expo markers for a project that the class does together and its helpful when all of the tables are using the same colored markers. The astrobrights (cardstock) makes projects feel more official because it is printed on heavy and bright colored paper.

Thank you for supporting my students by making my classroom a place where they don't have to worry about not having enough supplies and knowing that what they do have will allow them to become blossoming scientists.”

  • Give My Students Supplies!

This project has made the biggest impact on my students. Students started out the year trepid, but thanks to supplies from donors like you they have grown as students!

My students tape their important papers into their notebook and having 150 students and lots of paper to tape in means that my students go through lots of tape and notebooks. And I keep getting new students so knowing I have supplies to get them set up instantly is really helpful. The rainbow tape allows my to keep all of the classes notebooks separate as each class has its own color. Its easy for students to find their notebook if it ends up in another classes bin because it stands out as the different color. My students use lanyards for readings and its helpful for them to understand what their job is because reading an article in science class is a group activity. The laminating pouches are for me, so I can laminate material to reuse in future years.

Thank you for supporting my students by making my classroom a place where they don't have to worry about not having enough supplies and knowing that what they do have will allow them to become blossoming scientists.”

  • Give My Students Hands-on Science!

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

This project has made the biggest impact on my students. Students started out the year trepid, but thanks to supplies from donors like you they have grown as scientists!

The bacteria kits are a great way for my 6th graders to start the year excited about science. They choose one person at their table to swab their hand and get to see what has grown a couple days later.

My 7th graders love the fossils and the "do it at home" chemicals like the popping candy, antacid and mentos. Everyone loves fossils and I do the "do it at home" chemistry during State Testing Week and it gives my 7th graders something to look forward to.

My biggest thank you comes from the ingredients. Designing and building a Health Bar is my students favorite project and they got to complete it because of you! Students used a website to design a health bar, either for rescue workers or for patients. Students chose different ingredients based on their health benefits, costs, and taste. The only problem was that my curriculum doesn't provide students with the opportunity to build their health bar at the end of the project. The first thing my students asked me when I announced this unit was "are we going to get to eat the health bar?" It was the perfect "last day before break" activity. Students lined up, mixed their ingredients in a bag, added honey to make everything stick, then ate it with a spoon. Again, they couldn't have had this experience without you.

Thank you for supporting my students by making my classroom a place where they don't have to worry about not having enough supplies and knowing that what they do have will allow them to become blossoming scientists.”

My students tape their important papers into their notebook and having 150 students and lots of paper to tape in means that my students go through lots of tape. And I keep getting new students so knowing I have supplies to get them set up instantly is really helpful. The stamps come in handy when I check student work and stamp their assignments when they've completed them. Students love earning stamps with positive messages on them. The most popular item has been the stickers. Students got to pick one up after finishing their test and the meme stickers were the most popular.

The stamps come in handy when I check student work and stamp their assignments when they've completed them. Students love earning stamps with positive messages on them. My 7th graders were so excited to look at my personal collection of rocks I knew that I needed to get them more options to look at so the mineral kits are just perfect. The popcorn maker was excellent for State Testing Week! It was so easy to make popcorn for everybody after the test during movie time. The laminating pouches are for me, so I can laminate material to reuse in future years.

My students tape their important papers into their notebook and having 150 students and lots of paper to tape in means that I need lots of notebooks. These notebooks out not only help me but my school to get donations from supporters like you so money can go to other areas of need in my school. My 7th graders are looking forward to using the Chemical Reactions Mystery Kit! We are finishing up our Chemical Reactions Unit and we will use the Mystery Kit to apply what they have learned in a new situation.

  • My Students Need Supplies!

    Funded Jan 17, 2024

This project has made the biggest impact on my students. Students started out the year trepid, but thanks to supplies from donors like you they have grown as students! These resources are going to hep multiple years of students who come into my classroom get to view themselves as scientists!

My students loved looking at my mineral kit and now each table group has their own to study along with a magnifying glass. Students tape papers into their notebooks and having extra scotch tape around puts everyone at ease. Having a hammer in the classroom makes it easier to break jolly ranchers into small pieces to have students create their own "rocks" as they treat the broken jolly ranchers as loose sediment and move through the rock cycle. The laminating sheets helps my materials survive for years. And students LOVE having headphones in the classroom so they can listen to music "officially" while they take their online quizzes.

6th grade can be scary for some students as they move on from just one teacher in 5th grade to now having seven, so having enough materials for all of my students to be successful is a necessity! Thank you for supporting my students by making my classroom a place where they don't have to worry about not having enough supplies and knowing that what they do have will allow them to become blossoming scientists.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hotchkin
